Just Friends? (ON HOLD)

Chapter 4

I clutch his neck tightly and bury my face in his warm chest. He holds me tighter making me feel safe and secure. He continues to whisper soothing things to me until we're completely out of the haunted house were we meet Zayn and Kayla.

"So," Kayla begins, "what happened to 'I'm not afraid of haunted houses'?" she gives me a cocky smile.

"Well I made it farther than you!" I say defending myself and hopping out of Harry's arms, "They added some new bit to it, like with these evil little buzzing bee things."

"So you had a nervous break down over some fake and/or nonexistent bee things?" she chuckles.

I give her a playfully death stare and punch on the arm as a response to her comment.

"ATTENTION VISITORS," an announcer's voice rings loudly from the speakers, "THE FIREWORKS WILL BEGIN SHORTLY."

"Fireworks! YAY!" shouts Louis in an absolutely toddlerish voice.

"Lads, girls, I think we'd get a brilliant view of the fireworks from the farris wheel." Liam states.

We all agree and climb on to the farris wheel. Liam and Niall get stuck with Lou while Zayn and Kayla and Harry and I pair up in separate seats.

The firework show is amazing. Luckily it's dark enough so Harry can't see me blush every time he flips his beautiful curls.

It's got to be about midnight now, which is usually not very late to me, but today was such a busy, fun, crazy day, I'm absolutely exhausted. I find myself leaning against Harry's shoulder and drifting off to sleep.

-Harry's POV-

I look down and see Dani resting peacefully on my shoulder. Her blonde bangs fall softly over her closed eyes. I push them away. I wish she'd wear them back all the time; she has the loveliest blue eyes. She stirs slightly and huddles up closer to me.

I know I just met her today but, she's so beautiful. Lou knows I like her but I don't want him telling her, what if she only wants to be friends? Or has another guy in mind? I don't want things to get awkward for her.

-Louis' POV-

I look up above me at Harry and Dani. They're so cute together. I knew Harry liked her since our ride on the thunderbolt. And I'm positive she likes him back; she hasn't stopped staring at him all day.

I highly doubt they're going to confess their love for each other by themselves anytime soon so I'm just going to have to find a way to get them together myself.
