The four comrades set off once more on their mission to rid the world of the Rebellion. Sky led the small band of friends across biomes and through villages. SSundee trailed behind them at the back, jaw set in grim determination as he fought to contain his alter ego. FireSpark chatted to Mitch as they walked along, needing a relief, however brief, from Ian's negative outlook. As they passed through yet another village, Ian stopped. His hands clenched into fists, his eyes darted through the crowd. Sky stopped and turned round. "Ian?" His friend met his curious gaze with a suspicious glance. "There's someone here." They immediately split up, weaving through the crowds and between houses. Ian narrowed his eyes and Sky heard him mutter to himself: "Not now Derp." Suddenly, a piercing wail sounded through the bustling village. Everyone ground to a halt. Mitch had climbed up onto the roof of a house and had an arrow already notched in his bow, ready to fire. SSundee turned round slowly, still standing in the centre of the village, and stared at the woman who staggered out of the crowd, wailing pitifully and clutching at the grisly hole gouged in her chest. Her eyes were already misting over as she collapsed at Ian's feet, staring up into his eyes. "God save us all; Derp SSundee." Ian stiffened and stared back at her. "I'm not Derp SSundee." With her last breaths in tow the woman uttered the immortal words: "Not yet." Then she slumped to the ground. The villagers stared at the dead woman and the man standing above her with wide eyes. Sky bit his lip. "There's a killer loose in the village." "Other than me you mean?" Ian retorted with bitter humour. FireSpark frowned, staring through the herd of people frozen with fear in the village. She glimpsed a dark purple cloak whipping round the corner of a house. She backed up. "Everyone get as far away from this village as possible! This evacuation is only temporary!" Ian's blue eyes widened slightly and he tensed up. Mitch's heart thumped in his chest. Derp SSundee was talking to him. Ian swallowed hard and unclenched his fists. "He's here." Suddenly, a figure leapt out from the shadowy cover of a nearby house. SSundee whipped round and blocked his attackers first blow. The villagers instantly scattered, shrieking in fear. The figure backed up. Sky gasped. "No. Anyone but him."

SSundee's POV

I snarled, hate and adrenaline pouring through my bloodstream. I lunged at my opponent, grabbing hold of their hood, I shoved them to the ground and dug my elbow into their throat. In one swift movement I pulled the hood off of their face and my eyes widened in shock. Seto stared back at me, anger shining bright in his eyes, his teeth gritted in pain as my elbow dug harder into his windpipe. "No...how-" He cut me off by seizing my arm and twisting it. Pain jolted up through it and rocketed into the socket. I wheeled back in agony as Seto leapt to his feet, drawing his sword and thrusting it into my abdomen. I screamed as blood ran free from the wound. He wrenched the blade back out and I fell to my knees, clutching my arm. I bowed my head; I knew what I had to do. My eyes burned and my head pounded as I shifted. The wound in my chest healed up and my arm ceased to hurt. I got to my feet and raised my head, staring back at Seto. "That the best you got?" My voice had changed; become hoarser and strangled. He narrowed his eyes and raised his hands, purple magic smouldering in his open palm. "Nope." He threw it at me and I sidestepped, easily avoiding it. I felt powerful, in control. I had Derp's influence and power, but my mind was my own. I drew my sword and narrowed my now crooked eyes. "Ok then. Have it your way." Seto smiled as a blade took shape in his hands. "Let's see if you're really as fearsome as they say." I ran forward and our blades clashed. I dodged his first attack and went for his legs, trying to take him off balance. He skipped lightly to the side and swung his blade round. It lodged itself in my side and I felt a numb feeling creeping up from the wound. Seto wrenched it out and I heard the cracking and crunching of bones and cartilage as they healed. I grit my teeth and lunged forward, grabbing his sword as he retreated and pulling him back towards me before stabbing my blade into his arm. He cried out and tried to heal the wound, but with my sword still lodged in his arm, it was impossible. I smiled, sensing I was close to victory. Seto growled and purple tendrils of magic wrapped themselves round me, squeezing the breath out of my lungs. I gasped for air and clawed at the them, but they dissipated wherever I touched them. Black spots appeared at the edge of my vision as the magic began to crush my lungs. As fast as they healed, they were destroyed. I panted, trying to draw breath, but was unable to do so. Suddenly, an arrow whistled past and lodged itself in Seto's shoulder. Distracted by the pain, he took his concentration off of the spell to heal the wound and the tendrils evaporated. I hit the ground and got to my feet, hate and anger flowing hot through my veins. I didn't know where my sword was, but that didn't matter. I didn't need it. I ran at Seto and crashed into him, sending us both to the ground. I wrenched the arrow out of his shoulder and let it hover over his throat. "You shouldn't have tangled with me Seto." His eyes were wide in pain and fear as he said: "You're not who you were before." The words made me feel hollow inside, but I knew the truth now. "No, I'm not." Just as I was about to plunge the arrow deep into his throat, I saw a blur at the corner of my vision. I narrowed my eyes and went to turn my head to look for it, when Seto's fist cracked into the side of my head and I was swallowed by blackness.

When I awoke I was hanging against a wall in pitch blackness. I felt weak and my thoughts were sluggish. I could hear voices in the darkness. "Sky? Mitch? FireSpark?" My voice sounded hoarser than normal. A reply quickly issued from the shadows. "Ian?" It was Sky. "Are we the only ones in here?" I could image Sky biting his lip in the darkness. "I-I'm not sure. If not, the others are still unconcious." I nodded, though he couldn't see me. Suddenly, I heard a loud clanking of chains and a door was wrenched open, shedding dusty, sepia coloured light on our faces. A man strode in. He had a golden crown on that was embossed with rubies and saphires. By his side I saw a diamond sword sheathed in a rusty, blood splattered scabbard. He lifted his head and I saw his eyes gleaming with a savage glow, like how a wolfs' brighten when they can sense fear. Behind him Seto leaned against the doorframe. I still didn't understand how someone who used to be my friend ended up building a plot involving my demise. Mind you, a lot of stuff didn't make much sense to me these days. The man walked up to me and I struggled weakly in the chains that bound me to the cold wall. The corners of his mouth twitched up in a venomous smile. "Well hello there Derp SSundee. We've been expecting you." I raised an eyebrow. "I'm not Derp SSundee." The man narrowed his eyes. "No, perhaps not you, but the entity occupying your mind certainly is." A deep rumbling growl rose within me and I heard Derp's voice in my head. Let me talk to him Ian. Let me show him who he's dealing with here. I swallowed hard. Let's just see how this pans out Derp. We have an advantage. Like you said, he underestimates you. To my surprise, he fell into silent submission. The man smiled, exposing his teeth. They were pointed, like canines. "Your eyes give it away you know. And may I say, what an extraordinary pair you have-" "Get your hands off him." I tensed slightly at the sound of FireSpark's voice echoing round the chamber. Seto looked up at Sky imploringly, who bared his teeth and didn't return the apologetic gaze. The man turned his head towards FireSpark's location. "Shut up werewolf. Your species are below me and therefore don't have a say in what goes on around here." I snarled at him. "Don't talk to her like that." He laughed mirthlessly. "Or what?" Kill him Ian. Kill him. I clenched my jaw. Not yet Derp! "I'll make you regret your very existence." The man came close to me, close enough so that I could see the red rims round his eyes. "Don't think that just because you've killed people, you're superior to me. I've killed entire nations in order to secure our oppressors' downfall. You are not superior to me." Bitch, Derp muttered under his breath and I snorted, trying to contain my laughter. Seto looked at me. "Say something Ian?" I bit my lip. Don't think about it. Don't think about it. "Nothing you need to know about Seto." The man took a step back away from me. "I'll be back to collect you SSundee, so don't go getting too comfortable." "Not much chance of that happening when I'm hanging off a wall." I muttered. The door shut and we were alone once more. Mitch had woken up now as well. Sky sighed. "What now then?" "Well...we found the rebellion." "Good job Ty isn't here. He'd be crushed if he found out about Seto." "Yes." I agreed. "They were good friends." Derp growled in my head. That guy is a nasty piece of work. And that's coming from me. I nodded. Not that you're a hypocrite or anything then? I could sense him smiling. You'll have to let me out sometime Ian. But can you count in the fact of being let back in again? My stomach clenched. Truth was...I couldn't.
