Arafah's pov.
"Shut up Fadimatu," I hiss.
"...Then you smiled over your shoulder..." she continued.
"Urgh."
On the way to the our room Fadimatu just started singing this song, and it was really annoying because she was on me back so I could hear her voice so clearly.
"...For a minute I was stoned cold sober..." she yelled. We were getting weird looks from people but Fadimatu being Fadimatu continued anyway.
"...I held you closer to my chest..."
"...And when you asked me to stay over I said I, already told ya, I think that you should get some rest..."
"...I knew I loved you then but you'd never know cause I played it cool when I was scared of letting go..."
Luckily we were almost in our room.
"...I knew I needed you but I never showed, but I want to stay with you until we're grey and old..." she said almost reaching the chorus.
Oh no
"...Just say you won't let go.." she said her voice going high pitched.
"Fadimatu stop it," I beg.
"Just say you won't let go."
I opened our room door closing it with my leg since Fadimatu was on my back dropping her on her bed I lay down on mine.
"What do you think about my voice Arafah's," she askes me.
"It is lovely," I roll my eyes.
"Maybe I should make a band, what do you think?"For a minute I think she is serious.
Then she burst out laughing.
I sigh in relief.
"You want to give me a heart attack right?" I jump off my bed.
Fadimatu is still laughing.
"Yeah what ever," I stick my tongue at her that makes her laugh even more.
"Where are you going?" She askes when she notices that I am leaving the room.
"I am hungry going to get something to eat wanna come?"
"Of course who says no to food?" she stands up from her bed.
"A lot of people," I tell her.
"Well not Fadimatu,"she states
" Of course,"I say with an eye roll. "Let's go I am starving."
*******
"No,"
"Yes,"
"No,"
"Yes,"
"Can you make your mind?" The woman behind the counter asked clearly annoyed.
"There are people waiting," she said pointing behind us.
We are currently in blue's cafe and Fadimatu wants me to get barbecue pizza when I clearly told her that I want pepperoni.
"Just get it," she says.
"No,"
"Yes,"
Here we go again.
"How about you guys get separate," someone from the line suggest.
"Fine,"Fadimatu says.
"Finally," I hear some one say from the line.
We pay for it and leave.
We walk to the campus because it wasn't that far.
On the way, my phone rings it is mama.
I pick the call,
"Assalamualikum," I greet.
"Wa alaikumusalam," she answers.
"Mama how are you?" I ask
"Fine dear."
"And you?"
"Alhamdulillah," I answer.
"So why did you call mama,"
"Um... nothing," she says
"Just wanted to greet you, and how is Fadimatu?" Mama wants to know.
"She is fine," I answer on her behalf.
"When will your semester end?" Mama wants to know again.
One thing I know about mama she tends to ask to much questions when she is nervous.
"About a week from now."
"Oh ok, I expect to see you, ok?"
"Yes mama."
"Bye."
"Bye."
"Who was that?" Fadimatu askes me
"It was mama."
She nods.
We are almost at our room when she says,
"What wrong, you look like you have seen a ghost."
"I don't know but something is up,"
"Why do you say that?"
"Mama, her voice sounded worried."
"Dream maybe," She guesses
"Yeah maybe."
