Hello there my dear friend,

I have some great things for you today, but before I allow you to have it, I will tell you a bit about me.

I am one of the biggest pessimistic people you'll ever meet. (maybe meet through this book because... yeah lol). I always see the cup half empty rather than have full. No matter the situation, I overthink the worst even if nothing has happened yet. It sucks, it really does.

There was a time where my negativity began to come in between many things. For example, school, family, my self-esteem, my friendships and my amazing relationship and sadly, I allowed it to the point a few of those things got messed up.

At some point I began to analyze the person I am; pessimistic, anxious, over-thinker, stubborn... and so I did research on some of those traits. I was hoping to find ways to learn how to deal with them and I started to write things that I thought would help. So it became a list, I named it "How to stop being so negative" because my pessimism is my strongest one of them all.

I won't promise it will help everyone, maybe not anyone at all, but I would love to share it and hope that maybe it will. And if not, that it inspires you to do your own self analysis and come up with something that you would feel comfortable with. Enough talking, here it is.

Ideas to stop being so negative:

·       Say one positive thing about yourself every morning (even if you don't believe it); make it a habit.

·       Believe in the power of positive thinking. "If you think your life is bad, it will be"

·       Look at what's upsetting you, fix it and more on. If you can't fix it, let it go and think of ways to improve future events or if possible, avoid them.

·       Write in a journal 5 or 6 things you are grateful for big or small.

·       Take walks. After school would be great or in the mornings.

·       Face your fears, if you're scared, do it anyway.

·       Try new things no matter what it is, as long as its good for you and safe.

·       "In every challenge there's a gift, and in every gift there's a challenge," (stay positive no matter how hard it gets)

·       Smile, to yourself and to others.

·       Compliment yourself, then compliment others and spread positivity.

·       Feel beautiful in the outside. Dress as you like, do you your hair pretty, wear makeup, and smile.

·       Eat healthy but still eat what you love.

·       Have your goals set and ready to be achieved

·       Spend time with your pet.

·       BE KIND!!!

·       Use inspiring quotes, stick them to the walls or write them.

·       Realize what will matter in 5 years. IF it doesn't let it go, if it does, work it.

·       Understand yourself and why you feel the way you feel. It is okay to look back in order to know yourself and then blossom.
