Thirty Eight

Baekhyun smiled as he placed the last bit of the furniture in place a proud smile decorating his rosy face as he had finished his part of the deal.

Since they had moved in together due to the Sesoo pregnancy situation, they figured that they may as well have some fun with the whole ordeal.

Baekhyun had been dared by Chanyeol to decorate the livingroom while the latter would be tasked with organising their game room. Since they both loved playing games they figured why not deck out the basement into their own little play room.

Baekhyun felt for sure that he would be the winner, he had gone to Pinterest for inspiration as well as YouTube to steal some fellow users ideas for the house.

It was simple and pale definitely holding some aspects of their YouTube aesthetic  look as well as being child friendly incase Kyungsoo and Sehun ever visited, which they had exposed in conversation more than once.

Downstairs, practically under Baekhyun's  feet was Chanyeol who had been finished a couple minutes before the latter.

He was reclined backwards in his red gaming chair that Baekhyun had gifted him as a birthday present, with his phone in hand and a beer from the minifridge he yelled up to the smaller that he was ready and they would meet in the kitchen for the reveals.

Baekhyun smiled after hearing the taller's deep voice echo throughout the house. He agreed, yelling his answer back before he practically ran to the kitchen, slightly upset to see the taller already there holding out a bottle of beer.

Baekhyun took it with a sigh, he was relieved that they had finished decorating the house completely now, although his back was hurting from the constant lifting of boxes to make sure everything was set in place.

"Now we did agree that if something didn't work for us we'd move it correct?" He asked looking at the taller who had taken a sip from his bottle. He nodded.

"Where shall we go first? My room or yours?" Chanyeol wondered tilting his head trying to look around the wall that separated the kitchen from the livingroom. Baekhyun laughed childishly at his action.

"We can go there first considering you're like practically begging to see it" Baekhyun laughed taking the taller by his wrist and dragging him through the doorway and into the room he had designed.

He was confused when he didn't get a reaction the moment they walked in but when he turned around and noticed Chanyeol with his eyes closed everything became clear.

Gently letting the boys wrist go, Baekhyun took a couple steps backwards spreading his arms out straight before demanding the taller open his eyes.

Chanyeol slowly did as he was told, feasting his eyes on the decorated room that took his breath away. The rock fireplace had its wooden boarder painted white to match with the walls of the room (it was already white when they bought the house, Baekhyun just kept it the same colour) as well as cute little frames of them both and their families resting ontop. Their flat screen TV hovered on the wall above the fireplace, making Chanyeol crack a smile.

The light grey couchs both he and Baekhyun had went out to buy together were pushed up against the wall that faced the fireplace and the tv, they were decorated in light blue, white and pink cushions. The wall of window running beside it with beautiful light blue curtains to match the cushions. A fluffy rug that Chanyeol had always wanted before was spread out infront of the couchs, a coffee table keeping it in place.

"Woah Baek, you did really well.. my room is nothing in comparison, I would like to go on the record now and say that I accept the punishment-"

"Oh will you shut up" the smaller laughed hugging the giant tightly around his waist. "I still have to judge your room so come on let me see it~"

Chanyeol sighed before complying to his housemates request. Bending low he wrapped his arms just under Baekhyun's butt and lifted him up onto his arms. Baekhyun squeaked still not used to being lifted around so easily by the taller, however he did keep quiet when Chanyeol brought him downstairs and into the basement.

Placing the smaller onto the ground again he then instructed him to take a look. Baekhyun turned and gasped at the sight.

The walls had been painted a dark blue, however little glowing stars had been stuck to the ceiling, bits of white ran along the sides of the walls really making the dark blue stand out.

One table was pressed up against the wall, Baekhyun could see that chair was his own because all his equipment was on it, as well as his cute pink kitten eared headphones that were draped against the headrest.

Chanyeol's table was within arms reach although the latter had it up against the side wall. Since they both had rolling chairs they would just need to push off in order to be in each other's gaming videos.

Over in the opposite corner which just so happened to be out of the cameras view was Chanyeol's gym equipment. The taller was crazy about taking his gym equipment with him when Sehun and he had been loading up the moving truck. Apparently his best friend had stated that he could just buy new equipment and that a new dad would need it more than him but Chanyeol won the battle. Baekhyun blushed seeing that he would have a full view of the latter working out from his desk.

And of course the room had its own couch and tv if they wanted to hide from the trick or treaters on Halloween or just cost up together in the basement when they got boarded upstairs.

"Its perfect" Baekhyun smiled spinning around to make sure that he didn't forget anything.

"Really because I know you don't like the dark but also hate gaming with a light on so I tried to compromise with the stars on the ceiling that way your eyes won't hurt you from playing in the dark" Chanyeol smiled his hands pushing themselves into his jeans pockets, he looked nervous his elf ears that I found myself loving to play with burned red even in the darkness of the room.

"That was really sweet of you Channie, I appreciate it really thank you so much" Baekhyun smiled, wrapping his arms around himself in nerves, he didn't really know what to do if Chanyeol would let him touch him when he looked so dominant right now.

"You're welcome Baekkie" He smiled taking the latter by his wrist in order to lead him up to the house upstairs. They had claimed that they needed to do their collaboration sooner or later because Baekhyun found the box of suggestion they got from the fansign they had awhile ago.

"Should we make that video?"

Chanyeol was quiet for a moment before nodding a proud smirk on his lips as Baekhyun quickly ran up into Chanyeol's recording room so he could grab their cameras.

They're long awaited collaboration was finally going to be filmed.
