“Oh, hey boys look. Sweetheart has an attitude.” I look around my shoulder to see him and his ‘gang’ smirking at me.

“What the hell are you doing here?!” I ask, frightened by the looming figure in front of me. He looks to his left and then to the right, seeming to breathe in the atmosphere of Durnian and then locks eyes with me.

“You hear about Northridge?” I mentally slap myself. He’s a Northridge kid, that’s why he’s an asshole and tattoos and everything. It all makes sense now.

No way I’m going to school with him my last year in high school!

I glare at him and nod, him not seeming to be affected by my cold look. “The fire, not to brag or anything, was started by yours truly.” He takes a small bow as I look over to Kris, her just watching the whole show go down. “Y-You set the fire? Why?!” He snickers with his friends, showing deep dimples.

“You look better today…” He ignores my question and looks at me up and down, making me cross my arms over my chest. “That shirt would look ok if you had boobs.” He begins walking around me in the crowded area, checking out my body as I stood uncomfortably.

“Can you just leave me the fuck alone?!” I yell, earning the attention of a few students around us. They make an ‘ooh’ noise as harry stops in front of me.

I wouldn’t say that I was the most popular girl in school, but I was definitely up there. I had rich parents, a good life, but I didn’t drink or smoke or do anything illegal really. Well, except for sneaking out, but I don’t consider that illegal.

Anyways, so seeing me get pissed off was pretty fun for the school. Especially when I got in a fight with Toby Carsel, my ex-boyfriend. It was pretty bad, and deep cuts were cut when I found him making out with Angela Dean, while we were still dating.

Harry looses the smirk, a frown taking over his features. His eyes are cold as he stares at me, making my heart race. I never liked confrontation, like ever.

“Well I’ll be damned. Sweetheart isn’t the same little sweetheart at the small ass café last night.” I gulp, hoping I didn’t just make an enemy with the devil. He clenches his jaw and walks off, leaving a bunch of people laughing and patting my back.

“Nice way to welcome Satan to Durnian.” I hear Kristen whisper in my ear, making me shiver and turn back around in the line.

“Yeah well, he just met his match.” I say, her smirking as he inch up the line.

“Shayne Jones.” I tell the lady as she flips through many schedules. “I’m sorry, what was your last name?” She frantically looks through the pages again, me feeling slightly bad for her as she looks stressed and tired.

“Jones…?” I repeat, her shaking her head as she looks again and again for my schedule. “I’m sorry dear, I don’t see you. Go to the counselors office and see if they have it.”
