Once school had finished I had to wait an extra hour and a half, not because I got detention, not because I was in trouble for being sassy to a teacher but because Michael and I walk home together and he has practice. He does football, which is strange because when I ask him to do something with me he says he can't be bothered so where he gets the energy to do football from I do not know. I sat in the endless rows of benches and watched them all run around and kick a ball into a goal, God I hate football. The only thing that keeps me going is that occasionally some of them take their tops off, God I'm worse than Gabby. Speaking of Gabby apparently she fucked up big time when she walked with Luke, she somehow managed to slip into their conversation that she'd been admiring him from afar for about 8 years. Needless to say Luke got freaked out and made up a lie about needing the bathroom. She's in Math's Club (NERD) and has promised she'd come join me once it was over, I told her to keep her eyes on any other player but Luke. Let's see how it works out. I don't know why I don't just walk home by myself to be honest.
"Hey," Gabby said sitting down next to me,
"Hey, how was nerd club?"
"You mean Math's club?" She asked,
"Same thing,"
"Not really," She said, I looked at her and laughed,
"Sorry, how was math's club?" I asked,
"Boring, I hate it,"
"Then don't do it,"
"I have to! My mum says I have to," She said,
"Here's a thought, stop listening to your mum. Everyone rebels at some point,"
"Rebels?"
"Yeah! You know, stop wearing the clothes they want you to wear, stop listening to the music they allow you to. You have to become your own person at some point Gabs," I said,
"You're right,"
"Just don't go too far," I said,
"Huh?" She asked,
"Don't start rebelling against everything, some of the things they do keep you safe,"
"What was the first thing you rebelled against?" She asked watching a random boy run around,
"Curfew,"
"That's dangerous!" She said shocked, I frowned at her,
"No it's not, God Gabby you are so... innocent," I said laughing at her, she blushed and looked back at the boy she was staring at,
"Dear God Gabby you are not staring at Luke, are you?" I asked,
"No, who's number 12?" She asked, I looked around for number 12 and smiled,
"Andrew James,"
"Two first names cool,"
"I suppose," I said frowning slightly,
"He's really pretty,"
"Really smart too," I said, her head shot towards me,
"Really?"
"Really, he's in all top sets. I have Food and Art with him,"
"There's a top for food and art?" She asked,
"They say there's no sets but we all know if I'm in the set it's top," I joked, Gabby laughed loudly,
"It's not that funny Gabs," I said, she coughed awkwardly,
"Sorry,"
"What time is it? Is it nearly over?" I asked,
"It's 4:30," She answered looking at her watch,
