Marigoldfrost's Quest to Uncover the Secrecy Surrounding the Clans

Marigoldkit watched eagerly from inside the nursery at Applekit's happy expression while Muddybrook gave him a badger ride around camp. Ever since Marigoldkit knee issues started happening she was often terrified to do anything to active that could posdibly cause her knee to slide painfully out of place again. Though it only happened twice two moons ago since the weird knee disorder started acting up, she only ever stayed in the nursery for about 3 and a half moons.

With a worried look on her face Marigoldkit's mother, Amberglow, nudged her to the nursery entrance saying, "I know your worried little one, but you need to go out, play, and just enjoy your kithood and at least have fun with your brother before its your bed time. I can see how much you want to play with your brother and have a badger ride. You dont have to worry because I'll also make sure to keep an eye on you if you do get hurt so I can be there for you if you need me."

With an unconfident nod of her head Marigoldkit walked up to her father and asked politely, "Is it okay if I can have a badger ride after Applekit.

Muddybrook's expression brightened up a bit at seeing his daughter feeling more confident and exclaimed, "Of course, I can give you and applekit a bader ride!" Bending his front paws so Marigoldkit could climb up he directed, "Just climb up and join your brother."

Smiling Marigoldkit climed up Muddybrook's fur and carefully dug her claws into his fur not his skin so she wouldnt scratch him. From her view she could see the whole camp. She saw the sunlight shining on her campmates as some joined a group to go on a border patrol, Crystalstar watching the camp from his den, some cats busily chatting and absorbing the last bit of the sun's rays before it sets, and lastly her grandma, Honeysplash, (her father's mom) watching her and her brother with an amused look in her eyes.

Jokingly she teased, "I see your having fun learning to control and ride an intruding badger who bursted in camp!"

With a huge smile Applekit answered jokingly, "We decided to save the clan by using are badger mind powers to make the badger leave camp." Marigoldkit couldn't help, but let out a small chuckle at her brothers random silly outburst.

After a little while of Muddybrook walking around camp and giving both her and her brother a badger ride her Mother called announcing, "Okay Applekit and Marigoldkit it's time to go to bed. Surprised that it was already the end of the day Marigoldkit looked at the sky and saw the sun was setting and with a sigh got down and headed to the nursery.

As soon as she sat down by Amberglow and her and her brother got cozy tiredness took over her and before she knew it she was fast asleep.

..........Time skip to the next day..........

Slowly Marigoldkit opened her eyes to see herself lying down next to Amberglow and Applekit. She looked up at her mother to see her washing her brown furred paw over her ear. Slowly she got up being careful not to wake her brother, and she whispered, "Can I go outside to watch the camp?" With shock covering her gaze Amberglow then calmly awsered, "If you want to dear, but dont go too far from the nursery entrance so I can keep an eye on you."

With a smile Marigoldkit commented respectfully, "Yes mom, I won't go to far from the nursery like you asked." Placing her paws carefully Marigoldkit tip toed to the nursery entrance than sat down with her tail wrapped around her front paws. Before she knew it Marigoldkit realized that Sunkit was calmly sitting beside her.

Shock pulsed through her as she stared blankly at Sunkit unsure what to do. Sunkit was never rude to Marigoldkit, but she had a weirdly mature attitude for a kit her age almost like she was leader and because of that Marigoldkit just couldnt understand her so she didnt know how Sunkit would react. Slowly turning her head to face Marigoldkit Sunkit stated, "Isn't our camp beautiful especially in leaf fall because the leafs seem to almost flow through the misty air and yet they seem to glow from the morning sunlight. Though sadly leaf fall is coming to an end and leaf bare is coming to season... You can tell by how the wind is seeming to fill colder, how the tree bark seems to crack through the wind, and by how icicles start to form by cave entrances."
