Marigoldfrost's Quest to Uncover the Secrecy Surrounding the Clans

The Owls Raid

Marigoldkit sat there for hours in sadness. It felt like time honestly didn't matter, all she truly wanted was to be with her brother and father again. The thought of being sorounded by their comforting warm pelts and caring words imediantly broke her heart at the pure realization of ehat she just lost. Then after awhile she finally racked up the courage and blindly went back to where Sunkit was, deciding in her head, 'If I have to lose my family because of my own stupid mistake then I might as well not let Sunkit share the same fate.' 

She walked for hours not even paying attention to the things around her while mixed up in her grief, but with what little determination she had, she knew she had to be their for Sunkit so she pushed herself to tredged on despite the raw remorce that sorounded her heart. She finnaly stoped walking after awhile when a strong scent overwhelmed her and she realised she must have made it back to Sunlight and Sunkit. 

As she raised her head she saw Sunkit all by herself. Confused she looked around for where Sunlight was. Unsure of what to do Marigoldkit just sat by the sleeping Sunkit, carefull not to accidentally wake her up. Marigoldkit could see Sunkit lying perfectly still and staying deadly silent with the only sound that amitted from her was her weak and raspily irregular breathing. It seemed like each breath Sunkit took, took more effort then the last.

Marigoldkit couldnt stand watching how weak and tried her friend grew. Part of her didn't want to disturb her friend in fear that it would only cause her more harm, but another part of her badly wanted to help Sunkit in some way. 

Suddenly Marigoldkit heard a strange rustling sound. She turned her head to see a bush a few monster-legths away rustling randomly. Marigoldkit hackles raised tensely as her fear rised, but part of her was suddenly also very curious. Curious Marigoldkit couldnt help but wonder, 'I wonder what's causing all that ruckase?'

Still unsure on what to do Marigoldkit contemplated, 'Well... Whatever is over their could probably only be trouble so maybe its best to stay here. But... Would it be safer if I went to find out what's rustling the bush before they reach us to keep Sunkit safe?' 

Hearing her own realisation from her last thought Marigoldkit finally decided, 'You know what I'll go over their to make sure it's safe. Sunkit is too injured anyways to defend herself.'

Being cautious Marigoldkit slowly got up and walked carefully to the bush. She raised her ears sharply to hear anymore sounds and constantly smelled the air the best she could with her kit sized nose. The more Marigoldkit got near the bush the more nervouse she got making her stop and stand in place in fear when she was only 1 and 1/2 kit-lengths from the bush. She took a deep breath racking up her courage and circled the bush until she got to the other side of the bush.

Marigoldkit was slightly relieved to see that it was only Sunlight pulling a dark green leave from the branches of a bush filled with dark green leaves and light purple drooping flowers. The herbs stubbornly stuck to the branch and Sunlight shook her jaw as she held on to the herb in desperation to get the herb resulting in her accidentally shacking the bush. Marigoldkit watched Sunlight in amusement and looked towards the bush one last time to see another dark leaf that looked like the one Sunlight was trying to collect on a lower branch where she could reach it. Marigoldkit sliced her tiny claws against the lower places and thin branch carrying another dark green leaf releasing the bush's grasp on the herb. Sunlight finnaly tugged one last time at the herb she was trying to get and got it off the bush as well, feeling suddenly proud of herself. 

Sunlight looked to her left in shock to find Marigoldkit there and apologized, "Im so sorry little one did I wake you? I didnt mean to make such a loud ruckus and wake you up."
