Roxanne's POV

Roxanne went to work the next day as usual. Taking the subway since she can't afford a car. Today, she wore a white button up though she left the top two undone, the shirt tucked under a nice pair of gray work pants with a matching gray belt pulled through the loops and tied. She wore black heels once again with her outfit and had left her hair down. She only put on some lipgloss and mascara today, nothing too special really. When she got to her stop, she walked two blocks to the building and took the elevator up to the top floor. Nothing was different. Nothing was off. Everything was normal. Until she got to her desk and saw Aiden Bentley and Thane Donovan quietly speaking as they slightly leaned against the desk. She stopped in her tracks for a moment, her hazel eyes slowly taking in the two men who stood around 6'3 and 6'4 with looks gifted to them by both the angels and demons. She forced herself to keep walking though as to not draw their attention to her, slightly ducking her head and keeping her eyes glued to the floor as she slowly walked to her desk. She was about to head behind it when she heard a deep, husky voice speak. "Ms. Rome. We need to see you for a few minutes." As she slowly lifted her eyes from the floor and to the men, she realized who'd spoke to her. Aiden. She never completely met his eyes and before she knew it, he'd stepped forward and had her chin in his grip, tilting her head up so she was looking him in the eyes. "Always look at us when we speak to you, Ms. Rome." Aiden lowly growled, his voice sending shivers down her spine as his touch sent electric sparks all down her body. She slowly gulped and nodded the small bit she good with him holding her chin in his grasp. "Yes, sir." She whispered quietly, her cheeks flushing a light pink. Aiden, satisfied with her answer smirked and slowly let go of her, looking to Thane who was also smirking and chuckling softly. "We'll see you in five then." Thane spoke this time, his warm, smooth voice flowing over her like a wave of honey. She nodded and the men went to their office, the door closing behind them. Once they were out of sight, she leaned against the desk and took a shaky, deep breath as a dark pink blush appeared on her cheeks. Her heart was pounding and she felt little tingles all over her body, almost enough to make her tremble. She was practically forcing herself to not regress at this point, feeling the tug of softness that was her little space. As she calmed herself down, she ran her hand through her hair and made sure she looked normal instead of dazed and flustered. What could they possibly need me for? I didn't forget anything yesterday did I? Her eyebrows furrowed as she tried to figure out what she did wrong as she walked over to the office door, wiping her palms on the sides of the dress pants she wore since they'd become a little sweaty from her nerves. She gave a light knock before she opened the door and walked inside, her gaze flickering to the two men who'd stopped their discussion and were half pacing. They looked over to where she stood and then back to one another before Thane motioned for her to take a seat, Aiden sitting down at his desk while Thane walked over and leaned against the desk. She could feel Aiden's intense stare as she slowly walked over and took a seat, her hands in her lap, fidgeting with the end of the belt. "We heard about your money problem, Ms. Rome, and we'd like to help you by giving you a proposition." Thane said softly, giving her a warm smile. A proposition? What? Why did they wanna help her? Thane seemed to read her mind and he chuckled softly. "You are the best personal secretary we've ever hired, Ms. Rome. It would be such a shame if you had to quit because of your living situation." She felt herself grow so warm inside at Thane's praise, an almost shy smile on her lips as she blushed a soft pink. "Thank you, Sir." She said a little quietly, a grin appearing on Thanes face. "I'd like to hear the proposition, Sir." She said softly as she brushed some of her hair behind her ear. Aiden spoke up this time as Thane pushed slightly off of the desk and slowly walked behind her, placing his hand gently on the back of the chair. "We will you give the money to pay off your debts, Ms. Rome, but only if you can pay us seven grand by the end of forty five days. If you cannot give us the seven grand by the end of that time period then we get you." Aiden smirked at Roxanne as a dark blush took over her cheeks, a dominant look in his forest green eyes. "M-me?" She flushed, feeling her nerves start to get the better of her as her eyes flickered between the two of them. "Yes, Ms. Rome. You. To do as we please with." Aiden chuckled, his eyes seeming to travel from her face down her body and back. She slightly squirmed under his gaze until she felt Thanes hands being placed on her shoulders causing a slight hitch in her breath and heart beat to occur. "Relax, beautiful." Thane cooed softly as he slowly ran one finger along the curve of her cheek. "We would never hurt you. Unless you asked us to." A smirk formed on his face as the last sentence left his lips. She gulped slightly and felt sparks run through her body from his touch. Her eyes flickered between the two men as she thought about the proposition. I can get seven grand. I'll just need to work longer and maybe get another job. I can stay at my friends house until then. "Well?" Aiden's voice snapped her out of her thoughts and she took a calming deep breath as her eyes finally locked onto his.
"I accept your proposition."
