You're Mine, Not His

Chapter Two

The guy continues his confident stride even after all the growls of protest. The guy finally reaches the group and he smiles at everyone despite the death glares he's receiving.

"c'mon guys" he smirks looking at everyone once more. This time his gaze is locked on the barrier that Eddie, Houston, Titus, and they're friends Jace and Jack. formed around me, they all had they're arms crossed making they're muscles bulge. I was completely consealed and could barely see except through the small crack between Houston and Titus' arms.

"and what's this your hiding" The guy asks peering at each and every one of my body guards.

"None of your concern" Houston spits, I see him shaking a bit meaning his wolf is close. The fact that his wolf is surfacing makes him a small amount bigger, just enough to close the gap; leaving me in complete blindness.

"Crap" I angrily whisper and all the guys freeze.

"oh it's not a what, but a who" the guy laughs with little humor.

" back off dude" Titus warns, squishing his arms tighter against Houston and Eddie who is on his other side.

"oh please, Dude. Call me Phoenix" The guy corrects Titus.

"Phoenix?" Eddie speaks up.

"yup, that's my name ain't it" Phoenix states, there's a moment of silence. I notice no one in the yard is speaking, all of them are probably starring at us.

"move awa-" Phoenix is interrupted by the loud school bell ringing; indicating it's time for class. My body guards don't move until I guess phoenix leaves. Houston steps away from the group but quickly turns around to face me he looks down at me before wrapping his arms around me and walking me to class. I glance over my shoulder where we came from, and see phoenix is glaring at Houstons back; his hands clenched into fists. He shifts his attention over to me, for a moment I get lost in his brown eyes; but I quickly find myself and turn my head back towards what's in front of me. Houston and I reach my class.

"I want you stay away from that phoenix guy" Houston demands, brushing a piece of hair out of my face. I nod lightly

"okay" He smiles before pressing his lips to mine. A loud growl comes from the entrance of the hallway. Houston ignores it at first and continues to kiss me, until the growls get louder and closer he peeks towards the entrance and I do the same. Phoenix is standing there and if looks could kill Houston would be on the floor wallowing in agony. Phoenix stalks over us his fists clenched even tighter. He grabs Houstons' shoulders and throws him off of me. I gasp and backup against the wall as he advances on me. With my back against the wall he puts his hands on either side of my head . I look past him at Houstons unconscious body, the whole student body stands frozen not helping me nor Houston .

" You are mine" Phoenix growls at me. I squeeze my eyes shut and turn my head to the side, Phoenix uses one of his hands to lift my chin up to face him.

"you hear me . You. Are. Mine" He whispers slowly, his voice in a hushed tone.

"open your eyes" he commands. Even though he is no longer an alpha he still has the blood of one. I open my eyes slowly . He smiles down at me but my mouth is still in a small frown.

"please get off of me" I whisper still starring directly into his eyes. Hurt flickers across his face before he steps back and let's me go. I look down at Houston and see Titus helping him up while Eddie stares at me with a worried look.

'you okay' He mouths to me I nod , Eddie opens up his arms giving me a sad smile. I immediately run to him and wrap my arms around his waist. When phoenix said I was his it just about broke my heart, He can't be my mate. I don't want him; I want Houston.  Eddie strokes my hair and I look back to see Phoenix with un shed tears in his eyes. Gosh now he has to go and make me feel bad.
