"Can I talk to you for a few minutes?" Jaanvi asked sweetly approaching Shivaay as he sat going through a file.

"Of course Badi Maa !" He quickly left aside the file and smiled at the elder lady.

"So, how are things going?"

He stared at her, slowly understanding what she was talking about. "So far okay, but I needed your help." He came to the point.

"Tell me." Jaanvi replied quickly piqued with interest.

"It's the Rahejas. There are chances, they might withdraw their vote of confidence. I have no clue, why suddenly the change of mind. I tried talking. Didn't really help. Percase you could speak to Minal Raheja? She was your friend in college right?"

Jaanvi nodded thoughtfully. "More than that Mr.Raheja was a good friend", she winked at Shivaay. Shivaay grinned momentarily. There was this mutual understanding between the duo. They knew each other well. Their working strategies were somewhat on similar lines.

"Don't worry Shivaay, Rahejas are taken care of." She said in a confident tone. He smiled in appreciation. He loved this about this mother of his. The unbeatable confidence. "I am happy you are sharing stuff. Please don't unnecessarily burden yourself with work and all its stress."

He nodded.

"Now coming to the other point. What's been happening between you and Anika? Fought again?" Jaanvi stared at the man's blue eyes. She had seen the epitome of confidence and pride in this young man. At times she secretly wished, Omkara had at least the seventy percent of confidence. The loitering thoughts and comparisons were always inevitably present in relationships. But coming back to the man's confidence and surety of decisions, they always staggered when Anika came up. She was his weakness, it was conspicuous.

He remained silent momentarily. He didn't have an answer. It wasn't exactly a fight. It was just...something complicated. His silence spoke to Jaanvi.

"Shivaay, you know...at times I see you both parallel to me and Tej. " Jaanvi began, trying to carefully chose her  words. The wide eyed expression Shivaay have her told her that he was taken aback. "It's easy to love. Marriage requires more. Especially when the two people are equals and not natural complements. I am not saying, your relationship is vulnerable as mine but I am warning you. Don't make your marriage like mine and Tej's is right now. The only reason binding us is our kids, our family. Shivaay don't ever let your relationship with Anika go that far. I still love Tej. Perhaps he does too, but we've hurt each other in many ways. Anika deserves respect Shivaay. She still isn't over you giving her the divorce papers in front of the entire family like it was a newspaper. The least she expected. If I were in Anika's place. I would have walked out to never return. You are lucky she loves you more than herself. But, how many times? If you keep repeating your mistake in different ways, she might not have the heart to stay. Don't let your love make her weak and feel she was unwanted. That's a hard feeling. If you wish to live like a king then make sure you give her all that makes her a queen. It's hard when a marriage becomes a duty. Never let yours go that way. It hurts Shivaay. It..hurts bad. " Jaanvi's voice trailed off as tears blurred her vision. She hadn't wanted to say all that she did. It came from her heart. She didn't want another pair of lovers to go through the thorny streets she and Tej had taken.
