My name is Jalisha Hall and I'm a Rn here at Shadow Creek Hospital. I've been working here for over a year now. I'm not a people person but I do my job well.
A lot of the other nurses here talk behind my back and try to make it hard for me because I'm younger than them. Most of them are in their 40s and 50s. Me I'm 36 years old.
I hear them say oh she think she's all that cause she's pretty or shaped well. I just walk by and roll my eyes. My beauty has nothing to do with my skills and my hard work.

Dr. Alonzo Chapman walked in the office and started reviewing the charts. We always made eye contact and I would look away.
"Good morning everyone" Alonzo said looking at us.
"Good morning" we all said.
"I hope you guys got a lot of sleep last night because we have a lot to do today. I need everyone to stay on post and make well with all patients. As you know we have the Director will be down today to observe what we are doing. So everyone please be on your best behavior. No gossiping please." He stressed to the staff.
"Jalisha I need to speak with you in my office please." Alonzo said as he walked in the office.
"Yes sir I'll be right there."
As I smirked and walked towards the office. As we walked to his office I heard whispers and head turns from the other guys. We walked in the office and sat down.
"Have a seat please" he said as he pointed to the chair. "How is your day going so far?" He said intertwining his fingers on his desk.
"It's going very well and you?" I replied back nervously.
"I'm doing well. Thanks for asking. Ok what I wanted to talk to you about is you working under me permanently." He said with a little excitement in his voice.
"Wow really?" I said as I sat up in my seat.
"Yes really. Are you up for the job?" He said looking me straight in the eyes.
"Yes that will be awesome." I said.
"Ok well I will need you to sign a few papers. It will be all set for us to get started." He said.
I can't believe this is happening to me. I got the position that I've been waiting for. Of coarse I'll be the talk of hospital but I don't care. I signed the papers and passed them back to him.
