Melissa P.O.V.
Walking in the office of my attorney is so weird. To sign papers for me and Alonzo legal separation is so hard for me. This makes all this real to me.
When we argue or saw each other it was hard but not like this. I'm actually about to sign off that we are not gonna be living together or with each other.
Jason has been very humble with me and patient. He just makes sure I'm ok and that me and the baby is secured. He wants me to move in so we can be close to each other. It's actually not a bad idea.
I walked in and sat at the table next to my lawyer.
"Hey there Melissa. How are you?" Jaylen said.
"Hey Jaylen. I could be better."
"I know this is very hard. I would've never thought in a million years that you and Alonzo will be sitting in front of me for this reason." He said as he pulled out his papers.
"Yeah me either but it's happening. And to be honest I'll be glad when it's over. I've been so stressed out and I can't do that anymore with the baby and all."
"Wow you and Alonzo expecting?"
"Actually no we are not. I'm expecting." She said rubbing her stomach.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know. So what you did the sperm bank?"
"No I didn't. I did a real man and sex."
"Oh well. I understand." Jaylen said changing the subject real quick.
"So is there anything you want from him?" Pulling out a pen to write down her demands.
"Actually Jaylen no. All I want from him is my name back."
"I'll make sure that's in your divorce decree." He said writing that demand down.
"Thanks again Jaylen."
"Anytime Melissa. Again I'm sorry that all of this is happening to you. What happened if you don't mind me asking."
"He cheated and got her pregnant."
"Wow I'm sorry."
"Stop apologizing. I'm good."
Alonzo P.O.V.
Walking down these halls was really getting to me. We only come see Jalyen unless it's something to benefit us not to sign legal separation papers.
Me and Melissa have had a many of arguments but never nothing like this. And on top of that we both about to be parents but not with each other.
I walked in and the space was very uneasy.
"Hey Jaylen."
"Hey Alonzo. How are you man?" He said shaking his hand.
"Could be better."
"Come on and have a seat. We can go ahead and get started."
I sat down across from Melissa and just stared.
