Cade and I walk down the hall to his car, so we can get to the little get together with his friends.

"So, how many of your friends are coming?" I ask.

"I think four. And Alyssa is the only one coming with you, right?"

"Yeah. She's bringing her skate board. She kept it in her locker all day." It had fallen out every time she opened it, which was funny.

"It's too bad that you don't know how to skate board that good."

I sigh sadly. "I know. If I try any tricks, we'll all end up in the hospital."

He laughs and opens the school door for me.

"See," I say. "You're opening doors for me. Find a girl that you like and be your nice self and show her how you are with babies, and you'll have her in no time."

"Sure. It's not that easy though."

"Well, I'll help make it easy for you."

We walk into the parking lot, and I see a couple making out against Cade's car.

"It's a sign," I tell him. "That's going to be you one day." I snickered.

"Sure, cool, yeah, so how are we going to get them off of my car?" he crinkles his nose at the PDA.

Alyssa runs up to us with her skate board held with her two hands. "Hi guys. Let's go."

"Uh..." Cade says and looks at the couple making out against his car meaningfully.

"Ugh. Some people just can't control themselves, can they?" Alyssa rolls her eyes. "Well, the good thing is, since they are so oblivious to absolutely everything around them, you can just-" she pushes the couple, and they bang into a Mazda Sedan. They flinch for a second, but then they don't give another thought to it and continue making out.

"Easy as that," Alyssa swipes her hands together in a motion like she just finished a job, then gets in the back of the car right after Cade unlocks it. She was so decisive.

"Huh, easy as that," Cade says thoughtfully.

Cade and I then get into the car, and we drive off to the skate park.

About three minutes later, we arrive at skate park where the three of us go sometimes, but I would never do any tricks or anything because I was an absolutely wretched, horrible skateboarder. I usually just rolled along on the sidewalk, not doing any tricks, or sat down, doing something else that didn't involve skating. The closest thing to skateboarding that I can do is ride a Rip Stick for about half a minute, but then I loose my balance. I was such a sad skater.

So, the three of us jump out of the car, and stand side by side.

Cade scans the skate park. There aren't much people here. There's only about three small groups of people, all around our age.

"Oh, there they are," Cade says, looking at a group of boys by the forest behind the skatepark. They all stood around one of the trees.
I haven't met this group of friends before, and since I barely get to meet people, I'm kind of excited to meet these boys today.

Cade walks ahead of Alyssa and I, so, if this was connect the dots, we would form a triangle.

Once we are almost at the group of boys, Alyssa looks at me and wiggles her eyebrows. I jerk my eyebrows up twice in response, then Cade said "Hey, guys."

Sure enough, there were four boys standing there, and they all turned to us. Well, except for the one with a blue sweatshirt that was turned away, tying his shoe.
