Guys. Quick note. BEFORE YOU READ ANY FURTHER, once you get to the part where the two characters get in her room, play the song Holocene by Bon Iver. Or, if you prefer, you can play it at the same time that it is played in the story. I want you to get the full effect. The video will be to the right or up depending on what you're reading with. Have fun!

Today I realize that I should find out if Noah told Alyssa about the fight over her yet, and if he did, what her thoughts are on it.

After school, once Cade drops us off, I walk into Alyssa's house with her.

We walk into the kitchen, where we will do our homework together. Putting our backpacks on the table, we sit down.

"So, how's it going with you and Noah?" I ask casually, trying to see if I can get anything out of her.

"Good. I mean... I'm not sure. Noah told me about the fight." She exhales.

Well, she knows. And it also sounds like she knows that I was there. She assumed that I knew that there was a fight.

"Yeah. Sorry I didn't tell you. Noah said that he wanted to tell you. So..."

"It's cool. I understand. But I actually really do like Noah. I know that Hadley is hot and that we were flirting and all, but that was kind of a lust type of deal. He's a player." Can't argue with that. "With Noah, it feels... real. I actually really like him." Awwww my best friend really likes a boy. So proud.
"I see what you're saying. I could tell that Noah really likes you. When he told me not to tell you about the fight because he wanted to tell you himself, I could see that he really cared about you, and wanted to tell you the right way."

"Yeah. He's really sweet. When I fell that night at the skate park, he was really worried. You could see it in his eyes. It looked so cute."

"Oh, and speaking of the skate park, how's your ankle?" I point towards her injury.

"It's okay. It's getting better." She patted her ankle. "And do you want to order pizza or something for dinner? Because our parents are out somewhere at one of their friends toddler's party or whatever, so they can't cook for us obviously."

Pizza didn't sound so bad. "Sure."

Then we hear a loud chant that sounded like a lot of people, come from outside.

"What was that?" Alyssa asks worried, getting up.

"I don't know." I look around in confusion.

Then, Dylan and bunch of teenagers barge into the house. Golly.

"What's going on?" Alyssa asks.

"A party! Whoo hoo!" Dylan yells, and everyone cheers. OhmyGodno.

"What?!"

So, after a few hours and it's dark outside, that's when the drinks are brought out and everyone is drunk. Drunk as hell.

I see people with plastic cups filled with alcohol walking around, and drunk people being drunk people.

The whole time, Alyssa and I were sitting in the bathroom with the door locked, hiding and chatting, and when things started getting crazy with the drunk people, that's when we came out. We could've gone to my place, but we didn't want to risk struggling to get through the crowd, and honestly, it was kinda funny sitting in the washroom listening to everything that was going on.

"This is crazy," I tell her with a little humour in my voice.

"We should get out of here."

I try to walk with Alyssa through the large amount of party people smelling of sweat and alcohol, but I am grabbed by an arm and pulled to a corner by someone that I couldn't tell who it was.
