Jungkook woke up to find himself snuggling on Jimin's lap "How long was I sleeping?" he asks groggily

"Couple of hours.." Jimin says softly "...are you feeling better? Wanna eat? I have some chinese take out here"

"..I guess" Jungkook says sitting up

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Jimin asks when he finds Jungkook staring at him in silence

"I don't think we should do this anymore...." Jungkook whispers "..it's not right"

Jimin sighs "....I know we did this because we didn't want your family to be disappointed and god knows my family is finally off my back too, but it's not just for them. You always give too much of yourself away to others, it's okay to want this for yourself...."

Jungkook shakes his head ".... We're actually going through with this ceremony because of an accidental fake engagement post, but don't you think that if we break up afterwards, we'll hurt people just as much?"

"It's more than that. You paid for everything, you worked so long to be able to afford all of this and I'm not going to let it just go to waste. We're practically married already, there's nothing wrong with just faking this and letting them down gently at the end."

"We're practically married already and you don't see that as a problem?" Jungkook was starting to get frustrated

"Um, no?"

"We're friends, Jimin. Yugyeom left because you and I are... we spend a lot of time together. I know we've been through things and it's always been you and me, but I understand. We're supposed to have some boundaries, we're supposed to be able to have relationships with other people too. We're not married and we're nothing like that at all." Jungkook said, swallowing the lump in his throat

"You're overthinking this, Jungkook. Yugyeom was just angry because you moved on so quickly"

"He wasn't wrong." Jungkook saw what Yugyeom meant, he and Jimin had always been too close. It was a product of being friends since they were practically babies, sharing hurt and comfort together. They were always together, maybe he should have realized it wasn't necessarily healthy. Or what if it was because he'd always wanted more, even though it was never possible

Jimin shrugged

"Besides, it's not like you wanna date anyone now." Jimin pointed out, almost out of the blue. ".. Unless there's something you're not telling me."

"No, I don't think I'll be dating for a while." Jungkook said quietly - because you are the only one I wanna be with

"Good...now relax, eat and watch the movie" Jimin says shoving an egg roll in Jungkook's mouth

Jungkook ate silently as he watched the movie - why can't Jimin get that they are lying to the world and someone is bound to get hurt..and that someone will be me
