I was working late in the New York hospital. I was reading a book in a room when I heard the phone ring. I answered the phone and held it to my ear. A heard a voice.

"Christine, there is a patient in room 205 who needs you." My boss instructed me.

"I'll be right there." I hurried to room 205. The patient located in room 205 is suffering from leukemia and heart attack. She was a young woman about 40 years old.

"Dr... C....C....Chris....tine." She told me. She held her hand towards the sky.

"Miss. Reynolds, please." I interacted. "Please. Save your strength." She listened. She stopped.

It was 0:00 in the morning and I finally was able to go home. I climbed into bed with a book, and situated myself. I opened the book and I read. Minutes later I looked at the clock. It read 3:00 am. Oh crap! I read for 3 hours! I have an early shift tomorrow! I pressed my eyelids closed. They fluttered open by a phone ring. I heard my phone ringing. I ran across the room. My boss was calling. What did he want?!

"Hello?" I asked.

"Christine, patient 205 has died." I gasped in horror.

"Oh." I said. I didn't know what to say. I could say anything. But words slipped out of my mouth. "I'm sorry." Sorrow filled my mind.

"We are gathered here today to honor the death of Miss. Alexa Reynolds. She was only 42 years old. She suffered from leukemia and a heart attack. She stayed at the New York Medical Center for four years. May she rest in out hearts and live among us." The priest announced at Miss. Reynolds' funeral.

I feel horrible. I though there was a way to save her. But I failed.

"Mr. Can you please guide me to the New York Senior Center? I asked the concierge at a hotel. I was terribly lost. I was sent the Senior Center to check on a patient.

"Yes, you can walk. Just go down the alley, and turn left."

"Thank you!" I did what he told me. I walked into the alley. I started walking with my suitcase. I walked farther, but then I heard something in the distance. I quickly turned my head around. I ignored it. I continued walking. I couldn't see an end. Again, I heard a noise. I turned around and it was a rat. I giggled. I walked a little faster knowing I was safe. But I heard something bigger than a rat. I figured it was a bunny. I continued taking big steps. I heard footsteps, and a knew it wasn't a bunny. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, but I saw a car in my way. It was big. That's it. It was big. The footsteps grew closer. I looked around trying to escape. A hand grabbed my mouth. I squirmed my way free. But I didn't get far. He stuck a shot in my arm. He drugged me. My vision became blurry. I was feeling tired. My eyes blinked slowly. My eyes pressed together. I'm wondering what's going to happen. I open my eyes one more time, and a saw another man. I shut my eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.
