I heard a door slam behind me, and footsteps running. Nithing made sense. Why did he want to kill me if they wanted to love me?

"Chirtsine wait!" Erik shouted behind me. I walked faster tryig to run away. I couldn't face him. After alll of that! He finally caught up with me. He stod before me.

"Why? Why does he want to kill me?" I questioned.

"Remember that woman who died in the hospital?" He reminded me.

"Yes...." I said.

"That was his wife." He told me.

"I couldn't help it! I was trying to do everything in my power!"

"He believed that you wanted him to suffer like I did."

"But that's not true!"

"Come." Erik held out his hand, and placed on my shoulder and we started walking.

"You know, New York is very interesting because of all the history." I looked around the neighbourhood, trying to compreheand. He pointed to a tall tower. "I was in the two towers that tower was built after."

Oh my. He was in the disaster?! I fell to the ground. I started to cry. I buried my face in my hands, and couldn't stop. Erik helped me up, and sat down on a park bench.

"Christine, what's wrong?" He asked me.

"Y...you were in the two towers? B....before or d...during the crash." I stuttered with alot of my words. I couldn't stop. So much pain was going through my mind.

"During." I gazed at him, and I saw a man, not a monster. He went though tragedies I didn't know happened.

"Erik, let's get you home." I suggested. Erik grabbed my hand, and I helped him home.

Erik and I walked back home. He sat down on the couch in front of the TV. I sat next to him and we both watched some TV. I turned on SNL for him, and he started lauhging. He loved it. I gazed at him, and I saw the big smile on his face. I knew he liked it here and I liked him here.
