Chapter 12

Taehyung's P.O.V---

We are eating dinner when I got a phone call from Jin.

"Please excuse me, I have to take this call."

Jungkook and his mom nods and I leave the table.

"What's up Jin hyung?"

"Oh nothing, just wanted to tell you that me and the others are at the beach. Once you and Kookie are done with dinner, come join us."

"Ok, see you then."

I hung up and see Jungkook and his mother leaving the restaurant. I walk out with them, and see Mrs. Jeon to her car.

"Who called you, Taehyung?" Mrs. Jeon asked.

"It was Jin Hyung. He said to meet him at the beach after dinner. I guess they're going to set the fireworks off there."

She gasped, "that's right, it's almost the new year. I must get home to your father, I'll see you guys the day after tomorrow so we can actually talk about this relationship, see you then."

She gets in her car and heads off. I grab Kookies hand and head to the car.

"The beach is 10 minutes away and we only have 15 minutes till midnight, let's go."

He nods and get in the car. We arrive at the beach a lot earlier than expected cause we have 10 minutes til midnight.

I see Hyung and everyone else sitting by a fire near the ocean. Jungkook and I jog up to them and sit by Suga.

"You guys are late. What took so long?" Jin says.

"He's drunk, don't mind him. Here have a drink." Namjoon says and hands us something to drink.

Jungkook grabbed my drink and a plastic cup. He pours some of it into the cup and gave it to me.

"Hyung, you have to drive us home. You're not allowed to have a lot of alcohol."

I smiled. "Of course. I won't drink too much, I promise."

The guys snickered and I ran after them. I picked up Suga and then Jimin and threw them into the sea. Then Namjoon tried to do it to me, but I got him in with me before he could get away.

"Guys, it's only 5 minutes to midnight. Get over here to start the fireworks."

We all laughed as we got back to the blacker and waited for the countdown. Jungkook got up and ran to one of the guy's car. When he came back, the countdown started.

"5" Namjoon says, and all the others join in.

"4"

"What did you get?" I asked

"3"

"A gift for you." He says as he puts the necklace on my neck.

"2"

I look at it. A cross with our initials on it.

"JK 🖤 TH," I say with a smile

"1"

"Happy new year," I whisper to Jungkook and kiss him. He kisses back as the others set off the fireworks.

"Happy New Year!!!" The others yell out to the sky.

Then, as we pull away, a voice sound out from behind us.

"Jungkook and Taehyung? Did you two do what I think you two did?"

Jungkook and I look at her and then at each other, thinking the same thing.
