Chapter 5: Interesting (Venom)

I continued to jump from one building to another as Naomi frantically hit my back. Eddie told me that I shouldn't really be doing this since she's injured but I could care less about that now. I assured him that I was only doing this so those guards wouldn't come back with more of them. Eventually I got sick of jumping onto building so I made my way to one of the buildings to begin climbing.

"You better hold on tight," I said to her. "I'm about to climb."

"WAIT WHAT?!" she yelled.

With one strong leap I grabbed onto the tall building with one hand and started climbing.

"HOLY SH*****T!" she screamed as she rightly grabbed onto my back.

I chuckled slightly to myself knowing this was freaking her out. Eventually I got to the top of the building and instead of plopping her down like before I carefully placed her down.

"Ok...one, that was pretty cool," she breathed heavily as she straightened herself up. "And two..WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING SH*THEAD?!"

"I was taking you to a safe place," I said to her.

"I was safe you piece of sh*t!" she said angrily.

"That past event said otherwise," I said.

She groaned in frustration then she walked over to the edge of the building and stood there.

"Let me try talking to her," I hear Eddie say.

I went back inside him and he walked up to her.

"Uhh..hey," he said.

Naomi turned around to look at him and her eyes went wide.

"What the hell..?" she said in shock.

She stepped back and it looked like she was about to fall off the building. Eddie reached out to grab her but I used his arm to form mine and grabbed her instead. We pulled her back away from the edge and she just looked at Eddie in shock.

"Who the hell are you?" she asked.

"I'm Eddie Brock," he said.

"So you're the guy that bought all the good chocolate at Ms.Chen's store," she said.

"Excuse me?" he said, looking confused.

"Never mind," she said. "Anyway you're the host?"

"Yea," he said with a nod. "I didn't like it at first but I've gotten used to it."

"Interesting," she said as she sat down.

She turns away from us and from Eddie's view I see her take out some chocolate. The second she got it out of the wrapping it broke apart and fell over the edge.

"Sh*t.." she mumbled.

"That was pathetic," I said.

"C'mon man, be nice," Eddie said.

Suddenly Naomi threw the chocolate wrapper at Eddie and I chuckled a bit.

"That's for your buddy," she said. "I knew he didn't say something nice about me."

"How could you tell?" he asked.

"I have a hunch whenever someone talks sh*t about me," she said as she glared back at him.

"You've had it rough haven't you?" he said.

"Yea no sh*t Sherlock!" she growled.

"You shouldn't have said that," I said.

"I realized that now," he said.

Naomi crossed her arms and she looked away from us. Eddie sighed a bit and he walked up to her but he didn't get too close to the edge due to him not doing well with heights all that much.

"So why'd you have a rough life?" he asked.

"Sh*tty friends, sh*tty family, pretty much just sh*tty people in general," she said while not looking at him.

"People can be sh*tty at times," he said. "I can think of one person right now."

"Hey!" I growled.

Naomi sighed then she stood up and she turned to face us.

"Take me home," she said.

"Excuse me?" Eddie said.

"You and your little buddy are the ones that brought me up here," she said. "So it's now your responsibility to take me home."

"As long as I can make her freak out like that again I'm fine with it," I said.

"Alright fine," he said with a sigh.

I then took over his body and I grinned at her, showing my sharp teeth as usual.

"Let's just get this over with," she said.

I then grabbed her and tossed her over my shoulder then jumped off the building. She screamed she grabbed onto me tightly. Once I landed on one of the smaller buildings I began jumping from building to building as I listened to Naomi trying to tell me where her apartment is while freaking out. Eventually I landed on the roof of her apartment and I carefully set her down.

"Despite me freaking out that was still pretty cool," she said. "Anyway thanks and good night."

She went down the stairs that were on the side of the building and climbed through her window. Despite her being a bit pathetic she's really interesting.
