Chapter 11: New Feeling, New Face (Venom)

Once I heard her get through her window I began making my way back to Eddie's apartment. When we got inside I went back inside Eddie but instead of him going to bed he went to the bathroom. He stood in front of the sink with the mirror to see me in the reflection.

"Something's up," he said to me.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Don't pretend you don't know," he said. "You know exactly what I'm talking about."

"No I don't," I lied.

"Yes you do," he said.

"No I don't," I said.

He sighs a bit then he chuckled as he crossed his arms.

"You like her man!" he exclaimed. "You and I both know we can't keep anything from each other."

"I don't know what you're talking about," I growled.

He just laughed then he left the bathroom and towards his room.

"We'll talk in the morning," he said.

Morning came and Eddie tried talking to me about Naomi but I kept refusing I know anything. He decided to stop for the moment since he need to go to Ms.Chen's store to grab a few things, some of it was chocolate. We entered the store and Ms.Chen looked at Eddie and gave him a slight smile.

"Morning Eddie," she said.

"Morning Ms.Chen," he said.

We walked to the back of the store to look at the items then we heard someone enter the store. Eddie looked over and we see a woman that was about Eddie's height and she had short black bobbed hair, and blue eyes. She was wearing a green long-sleeved turtleneck sweater with gray jeans and white boots.

"Morning Ms.Chen," the woman said as she walked up to the counter.

"Morning Xiaohui," Ms.Chen said with a smile.

"Did any sort of trouble happen while I was away?" she asked.

"There was one problem but it was taken care of," Ms.Chen answered.

"Well if any more trouble comes up just let me know and I'll come right over and 'shock' them." Xiaohui said with a grin.

"Alright," said Ms.Chen.

Xiaohui smiles then she starts walking back to the store to grab a few items.

"How is a puny human like her going to stop bad guys?" I asked.

"I don't know," Eddie muttered.

"Did you say something?" someone asked.

Eddie turned around to see Xiaohui looking at us with a confused look.

"Uhh..no," he said.

"Alright then," she said, still looking confused.

She turned away and reached out to grab something from the shelf. For a brief moment I thought I saw some white metal underneath her sleeve. She then proceeded to go to the counter and pay for her items then leaves the store.

"You need to be more subtle when you talk to me in public," I said.

"I know that," he said.

Suddenly we hear the sounds of car tires screeching and Eddie looked over to see cars driving by at a fast speed. The next thing we saw was Xiaohui running after the cars.

"The hell?" Eddie said, looking confused.

"Let's follow them," I said.

"What about the stuff?" he asked.

"We'll get it later," I growled.

He left the store and did his best to catch up with the cars and Xiaohui and the cars. When we caught up to them the cars had stopped in the middle of an intersection with Xiaohui standing in the middle of the road.

"Whatever you stole doesn't belong to you!" she yelled at them.

"What are you going to do about it?" one of the guys in the car said.

"I'll make you regret it!" she said.

The guys in the car just laughed at her then revved up their cars.

"How about we turn you into a pancake?" another said.

The cars started driving towards her at a fast speed. Before they got any closer to her she punched the air in front of her, causing the cars to suddenly flip over her. Before they hit the ground Xiaohui ran under them and caught them.

"Yea I sure regret this," she said sarcastically.

In the distance we heard police sirens so she carefully placed the cars down then ran off.

"What the hell was that?" Eddie muttered to himself.

"No clue," I said. "Now let's go back to the store."
