I didn't utter a single word as the man named Shorter carried me like a sack of potatoes over his shoulder, still blinded by the cloth he had tied around my head. He was whistling some muddled up tune as his fingers tapped the backs of my thighs to the beat, and I wanted to scream.
"Took your time..." A new voice called out, and I received another pat, just shy of my rear.
"Yeah, but I got the goods, right?"Goods..?!
A low whistle sounded out, and I felt another hand graze the skin of my calf.
"She's a real cutie...Wonder if boss'll be nice to her..? I sure would be..." I kicked out and felt my foot connect hard with their face, and couldn't help but smirk to myself as the unknown man wailed in pain.
"Right in the kisser! Didn't think you had any spunk, sweetheart...but honestly, it doesn't take much to floor Bones, here..!" Shorter started walking again as the man he referred to as Bones threw cusses after him, and I began to squirm."Why not just let her walk, Shorter? She looks pretty uncomfortable..." Yet another voice chimed in, but no unwanted touches came.
"But this is fun! Besides, Ash is right in there, so no use putting her down now!"Ash..?
After the creak of a door sounded, I was pulled from Shorter's shoulder and pushed down to my knees upon concrete. Mumbles and murmurs could be heard from all around, but the only thing my brain really registered was the click of a gun.
"You're gonna tell me every shred of information you have about Dino Golzine." The man who spoke had a young voice, but it was as cold as ice. When I didn't respond, I felt the barrel of the gun press against my temple and shrunk down.
"I..I don't know a..anything! I..I have access to one of his accounts, though! Th..the credit card w..was in my wallet! U..use it for whatever you want! I..I could get more, too! J..just please...please don't kill me!" I never thought pleading for my life would feel so disgusting, but then again, I never thought I'd be in a position like this in the first place. The barrel was digging into my skin now, and it was actually beginning to hurt.
"Don't play dumb with me, (Full Name). I know you know things, so unless you want the wall painted with your grey matter, I'd start talking..." The owner of the gun wasn't going to back down, and I wished and prayed that somehow Arthur had managed to follow us, and was about to burst in and rescue me from these heathens.
"Boss...she's probably just one of Golzine's pets...Maybe we're being a bit harsh..." One of the men spoke up with a voice full of concern, and that's when I got a mouthful of metal. My muffled whimpers were loud, and I could feel the cloth over my eyes become soaked with my tears.
"She isn't a pet, Kong..." The boss, 'Ash', muttered sourly, pushing his weapon as far as he could to the back of my throat. "...This is Golzine's niece."
I swear I know that name...
"A..Ash! Are you fucking insane?! We ain't got enough men to take that fucker on right now, and you get me to kidnap his own flesh and blood?!" Terror was apparent in Shorter's voice, but nothing could match my own fear. I didn't dare speak as the gun was taken from my mouth, and a hand came down to rip off my blindfold. Everything was blurry and dark, but I immediately threw my gaze to the floor. I didn't want to see who my potential killer was.
"Calm down, Shorter...I know what I'm doing...Now, (Y/N), take a good, hard look at me and tell me..." Ash grabbed my chin and harshly jerked it upward. "Tell me again how you think this is a misunderstanding..."
Wait...I've seen this guy before...
Blond hair framed a seemingly flawless face, pale skin and mesmerising jade eyes almost glowing in the faded light. I couldn't forget a face like his.
"Y..you...You're the boy that Papa took off the streets..." I whispered in shock, but I made no move to get to my feet. "Why...after everything he did...Why would you..."
