"You're seriously gonna sit around like that with a woman in the house? Really?"

Another few days had passed, and I was fed up with where I was at. Bones sat at the table with Kong, but at least the latter had the decency to be wearing pants.
"What? Everything important's covered, so I don't see the problem." The ginger replied with a shrug, continuing his card game as I hunched my shoulders, stalking over to raid the fridge.

"Fucking dirty pigs...Don't wanna see your hairy prick..." I mumbled to myself bitterly, pulling out a small container of yogurt and closing the fridge, keeping my head down on my way back to my room. At least I would have, if I hadn't bumped into something. Looking up, I wished I had kept my eyes closed until they were past waist level. Well, I told myself that, at least.

"Mornin'..." Shorter yawned through his greeting, and I scowled, pinching the bridge of my nose as I slammed what I had been aiming to eat for breakfast down on the counter beside me.
"Is it really so hard to put on some FUCKING PANTS?!" I snapped, shoving the man aside so I could pass. "How would you all like it if I just walked around in nothing but boxer briefs?!"

Of course I'd realised my mistake immediately, but that didn't stop the gang boss from opening his mouth.
"Well, I can confidently speak for all of us here that we totally wouldn't mi-"
"I RETRACT MY HYPOTHETICAL!" Stomping my way back to the room, I would have slammed the door if it hadn't been replaced by a curtain.

I'm surrounded by perverts...Greasy, criminal perverts..!

That thought lead to another, and eventually I found myself standing before my backpack, staring at the closed zipper intensely. Still, I hadn't dared look inside the folder. I knew I had to at some point, but I always talked myself out of it, and I was sure that was for a good reason. Somewhere deep inside I knew what was in there, it just wouldn't surface.

"I'd say sorry, but I have a feeling you wouldn't accept it even if I did..." I whipped around when Shorter hobbled in, halfway through stuffing his legs into a pair of pants.
"You really didn't think to knock? Are you all that dense?" Scoffing, my eyes rolled, but that was mostly to avoid looking at his toned body.

A hormone rush is the last thing I need...

"What do you want?" Kicking my bag as I turned, I moved towards the bed, sitting on the edge and folding my arms. Buckling his belt, Shorter remained in the doorway, the dividing curtain partially draped over his bare shoulder.
"I have to go out for a bit, so I wanted to make sure you'd be okay staying here with the boys. If any of them creep you out, I can call some of my guys to switch out."

Clicking my tongue, I tried to keep my cool, though it was near impossible.
"All of you creep me out. When I let you bring me here, I was under the assumption that I could come and go as I please. Instead, it's like you have me locked up! It's more suspicious having bodyguards tailing me, y'know!"

Sighing, Shorter entered the room, passing by me and approaching the chipped dresser. As he opened a drawer and rummaged through it, I did my absolute best not to take a sneak peek at his back.
"Listen, I don't like it any more than you do, but Ash told us to keep you safe. I don't know why he wants you around, but he's my best friend, and I trust his judgement. If you went walkabout, you'll just end up causing trouble. I know your type."

Irking, I stood up and took a step towards him, gritting my teeth as he slipped on a white, long sleeved shirt.
"My type..? Pray tell, what is my type?" He had to choose his words very carefully, that was for sure. I wasn't going to stand being insulted.
"You know. Women. Ladies. The female persuasion. You proved that when you didn't realise you were being followed. You may be able to aim a gun, but you're pretty helpless otherwise."
