Haha so I guess I've decided to update.. whoops, it's only been like 6 months? 😂 sorry! But without any further wait here's "Its not their fault" requested by @StarlightDancer622 back in umm April..

Anne and Phillip didn't often show PDA apart from the kisses during the show, the public didn't often see the couple being well a couple.

But today was different, it was Anne's birthday and they were heading off to celebrate at a restaurant for dinner with everyone else. Anne and Phillip had their hands joined together, blissfully off in their own world, daydreaming.

Phillip hadn't realised until it was too late, 3 or 4, he couldn't really count men jumped them. Anne screamed, trying to run closer to Phillip but 2 of the men separated them. The 2 holding Anne were obviously much larger then she was, her dress was caught on a near by Rose bush and torn, leaving a big gash down her leg.

"That's what you deserve you trash, go back to where you came from circus folk" the men yelled, Anne was struggling to breath at this point.

Phillip was struggling against the men's restraints, he had to get to Anne. At this point a crowd had gathered, everyone watching but no one stepping in. The public were too scared of the scrappy but tough gang members causing the chaos.

Across the street a family had heard the scream, knowing exactly who it belonged too, Anne. Phineas and his wife exchanged glances and without words agreed that Charity would stay with the girls while he rushed to see what was happening.

When he arrived at the circle that had now grown he pushed through only to be shocked at what he saw. Anne has now been forced to the ground and was being held down by some man, shaking and crying, whispering for Phillip. Phillip on the other hand was having a hard time fighting off the remaining 3 men.

Phineas wasted no time on rushing in and throwing one of the men off of Phillip, while the man who had now been thrown to the floor was recovering he hit another one, sending him flying too. This allowed Phillip to take the last one down and rush to help Anne.

By the time they had gotten the man off of Anne and laying unconscious with the other three the police had arrived. Arresting the men and taking Phineas, Phillip and Anne with them for questioning.

Within the next hour the whole thing had been written off as self defence on their part.

Back at the circus with Anne and Phillip

Anne was laying in their bed, her wrist wrapped in a bandage and plasters covering parts of her body. When they had arrived home Anne had broken down in tears again, Phillip holding her tightly.

"Ph..Phill I knew there were still protesters but that bad? They way they came at us, and the way no one did anything, what are people in this world? Cowards? The feeling of being held down, I couldn't do anything and it hurt, so badly but the worst part was seeing them hurt you, Phill what are we going to do?" Anne sobbed.

Phillip didn't know how to really respond, "there's bad people in this world Anne, you and I both know this, we know not everyone is going to love us but we can't let them drag us apart can we? We have to keep fighting, for what we love".

Anne just nodded her hair, burrowing closer to Phillip, she wasn't always the cuddly type but after events like this, it bought back scaring memories, she found the best way to cope was to hide.

Phillip bought her head back, forcing her to look into his eyes. "Anne Wheeler, you are one  the bravest most beautiful and amazing girl I have ever met, I need you to promise me that you won't let this get to you too bad, I know it won't fully heal, but I'm here, here for you".

Anne couldn't fully reply, she was too busy trying to comprehend his words, "I love you Phillip, thank you".
