Run Away and Back Again (HTTYD)

Astrid Tells Stoick

Hiccup made a loud whistle for Toothless to hear his calling and at the same time to catch Astrid's attention.

"I have to do this, I have to try."

He sense Toothless nearby. he geared up, strapped his flying gear. Hiccup then placed his small dagger on his side and tightened his gear.

It's never that easy to gear up this quick with an angry valkyrie chasing you down.

Just then when everything was fixed, Hiccup heard someone move by the bushes. He crept back slowly making sure not to make a sound. Slowly he realized he had entered the cove.

But where the heck is Toothless.

He still crept slowly looking for Toothless around the cove. He should be here

Or was he........

"Going somewhere?"

His skin made goosebumps once he had heard that voice, the voice made Hiccup fall for her and at the same time scares him to death. He turned around slowly to facing her.

"Hey there Astrid, hey there, Astrid hey there....ehe...what are you doing here?" I awkwardly asked her.

"I'm asking you the same thing-" she gripped her axe and raised it a bit higher
"-oh and nobody runs away from me. So tell me, what are you doing here?"

*gulped* "well I...I"

"Start talking" She pointed her axe at him again.

"I need some fresh air"

"Fresh air huh? With a bag of clothes and a few stuffs at home. It seems like you're gonna camp here all by yourself with dangerous dragons around you"

She's got a point though.

"So Hiccup-" she twirled her axe "what exactly are your intentions here?"

'Damn it I couldn't think of any excuse Toothless should have flown us away right now.' He thought, hoping Toothless would show up soon.

Seconds later they both heard the bushes move, Hiccup could see two green dragon eyes and recognized them.

Toothless!!

Astrid heard it too, as she turned around she realized something was wrong. She then saw a dragon slowly coming closers, teeth ready to rip-off a head. Astrid pushed Hiccup down.

"Get down"

As Hiccup hit the ground Toothless came running towards Astrid, believing that the girl attacked Hiccup. She was about to hit Toothless with her axe but eventually was stop by Hiccup. He tried to calm the dragon up but the said dragon could not calm down. because of the axe she was holding.

Toothless gave a loud roar at her while Hiccup hold on to him and blocked his way.

"Calm down bud....you scared him" He said as he faced Astrid while taming the dragon.

"I...I scared him?"

Toothless gave her another loud roar. "Who is him?" she asked with nervousness.

I straightened while I rubbed his dragon's head to tame him as I introduced him to Astrid.

"Astrid meet Toothless. Toothless, Astrid."

Hiccup gestured at her with his arms and hands so that Toothless could understand that he's introducing Toothless.

But it seems like the black dragon isn't interested on meeting Astrid.

By the looks in Astrid's eyes, she couldn't believe at what she's looking at right now. Yes Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the III have befriended a rare dragon. A dragon that Berk could not get a hold on nor could even see its true identity.

But.....,

'But this isn't right'

Astrid stood there in a minute, her thoughts sinking in to her. But her thoughts were cut-off when Hiccup reached out his hand towards her.

"Astrid, please let me explain"

She didn't buy his plead, all she knows now that whatever is Hiccup up to is another problem to the village.

And to that she shoved his hand away, gave him an angry glare and ran off back to the village.

So much from introducing her to Toothless, the dragon couldn't care less.

Hiccup sighed. He thought this might work, well plan foiled again. His only chance now was to convince the whole tribe.

But how? He couldn't even convince one person to take his side, not even the weakest nor the strongest would side along with him. Not even the girl he had longed wanted would ever stand up for him.

"Hey bud, we need them to understand you, understand us. It's are only chance. If they won't then we'll this place together.

Toothless gave a small nod before lowering himself for his rider to mount.

"I hope this works" he muttered under his breath.

After that Toothless flapped his wings and headed to the village of Berk.

"Chief Stoick!"

Stoick the Vast heard the maiden and stood as she runs towards him

"What is it lass?"

"Dragon problem sir, a Night Fury to be exact and Hiccup-"

Astrid stopped. Stoick was taken aback before he could hear his son's name. He clenched his fist.

"Where is it? Ready your weapons. A Night Fury is on the loose and could someone please keep Hiccup out of sight. Form an assault, hide by the trees and ready those nets. Move move move MOVE !" He shout and the villagers charged outside the Hall

"Sir?-" Astrid asked with a small guilt inside her.

"Anything else I should know?"

"-It...it involves Hiccup."

"Hiccup?" he said out-breathlessly "what happened lass? Is he hurt, is he in danger"

Astrid started to feel so wrong, but her loyalty as a viking? Will she deny it?

Is this the right thing to do?

"Come on lass tell me"

Astrid started to get nervous, but she have to. For the name of Berk.

"I.....I saw him with the dragon he wouldn't kill the monster. He...he even.....he even saved it from me " she stuttered.

"What? How is this possible, does he even know the consequences he'll face once he's got here"

"I'm highly aware of that sir but-"

"Grr I should have seen this coming before it happened"

"I know sir but if we could just-"

Suddenly they heard a dragon's screetch, then a few villagers shouted.

"NIGHT FURY!!"

A plasma blast was heard, next thing they heard was a loud thud.

Moments later Stoick heard Spitelout.

"HICCUP'S WITH THE DAMN DRAGON!"

"GET THE DRAGON"

"Wait stop you don't understand"

Stoick heard his son outside. By the time he got out of the hall he saw the dragon, down and tied up. Then his son.......

his head bleeding

helping the dragon get free.
