"Cecile?"
"LEAVE ME ALONE!"
Lance sighs, staring down at the key to the room. The mental debate of whether to just leave her be for a little longer or just unlock the door keeps him still.
Keith turns the corner and sees his lover standing completely still, looking anxious. He walks over, placing a hand on Lance's shoulder, startling him.
"Don't overthink this," Keith whispers, "She's your #1 fan, so she'll understand you."
"I think you have me confused for you, 'Akira'."
Keith does his signature eye roll, "Haha, very funny, now go talk to your niece."
After some persuasion, Lance unlocks the door and steps in, immediately, a pillow goes flying past his head followed by an angry shout from Cecile.
"I told you to leave me alone!"
Slowly closing the door behind him, Lance w̶a̶l̶k̶s̶, shuffles over to Cecile, who is fuming.
"I get that I'm the last person you wanna see right now, but we need to talk about earlier," Lance starts, dragging a chair near the bed where Cecile is hiding in a mountain of pillows. He sits across from her in silence. She's offering him nothing but cold, tension-filled silence, "Well, since you don't want to talk, I will."
Cecile gives him the stink eye and turns her head as if to shun him.
"Okay... Cecile, just hear me out, I didn't lie to-"
"Like hell, you didn't lie!" She snaps her head back towards him, furious, "How long were you waiting to make a fool out of me?! I thought I could trust you but I was clearly wrong!"
"Alright, One; I did not lie. Two; you made a fool of yourself by overreacting to the situation. Three; you can trust me. I'm the only person who knows about you."
"Yeah right! I'm sure you went and told Akira EVERYTHING! Since you know you're dating an all!"
Lance lets out a frustrated sigh and leans back in the chair. Regaining his composer so he looks back at Cecile, "Alright, I'll tell you the truth. Keith and I talked about you. He knows..."
Cecile almost falls off the bed, "HE KNOWS?!"
"Yes, and only because-"
Que the meltdown. Cecile starts to cry again. "I can't believe you told my idol I'm bi!"
Lance isn't even the slightest bit bothered by not being his niece's idol. He's concerned about getting her to calm down, "Isn't he your idol because he's openly gay?!"
Cecile nods slightly, tears still streaming, "Yes, but... I didn't want anyone to know besides you!"
"If it makes you feel any better, he fully accepts you. He's here for you just like I am."
Cecile looks up and squeaks, "He is...?"
"He is," Lance gives his niece some reassurance with a soft smile, "And I promise that no one else knows about this."
Cecile is momentarily happy. But of course, that is only MOMENTARILY.
"This still doesn't change that you lied to me."
Lance groans, a little annoyed that she's so focused on him 'lying' to her.
"I never lied."
"Uh-huh... sure.."
"I'm telling you the truth, Cecile. I never lied. I didn't know that I liked girls and guys until I met Keith. Trust me, I was surprised and terrified like you were. I was like, 'What...? Keith? No way! I'm straight!'"
Cecile chuckles at the thought, "Okay... So if you are telling the truth, Aki- I mean Keith, will be able to vouch for you?"
Lance nods, "Yep. I swear on my life he can vouch for me."
Cecile has an idea, "If he can't, then I want something."
Lance feels his stomach turn, "What do you want..?"
She thinks for a moment, "Hmmm, how about... I get to spend the rest of your paycheck on whatever I want?!"
"Alright, and if he can?"
"Then I want every single piece of his merch." She pauses which worries Lance.
"And...?"
"AND! It has to be signed!"
"You have yourself a deal,"

Hey everyone! My laptop is getting looked at during break which is now... SO I have to use my shitty old family computer that's like 5 years old and super laggy and sensitive. It's honestly a pain to use. But I'll try to use it. That's mainly why this chapter is split into 2 parts. I'll update again tomorrow if this computer lets me. If it comes down to it I'll write on my phone.
