5:37 p.m.

Lily City was settling down from the eventful day. Students are home preparing for their next class. Sages are up working hard to make the city a comfortable place. The cool autumn breeze envelops the city, with the sun setting making the sky a warming orange. Deep in the alleyways the Black Rabbits are having a meeting,

The members mumbled to each other, bunched together in front of a small, dingy stage. Frankie walked up on stage and thrusted her axe into the concrete so she could lean on it, "Hey! Quiet down." the gang followed her order. "Yesterday, I was informed that two members beat up a kid that goes to the Institution. Let me say this once, we aren't a violent group by nature. We all have different reasons for being apart of the Black Rabbits but beating kids up is not one of them. Whoever did it, explain yourself." The gang was quiet for a while before someone spoke up, "It was us."

Everyone turned and looked at two teenagers, twin brother and sister, Ace and Spade Dokuro. Frankie stood up straight and looked down on them, "What's your reason?" Ace grinned, "Do we really need a reason?" "Are you questioning Frankie's authority?" Jinn shot them a look of anger, "As she said, this gang isn't a violent one. We all can agree that we don't exactly like how this city functions but going and beating up an innocent- " "He wasn't innocent." Spade spoke up, "the day before, he and his friends were bullying some younger members. We saw him the next day and taught him a lesson." Frankie jumped off her pedestal and approached the younger members, "Is this true you guys?" to which they nodded. Frankie sighed, "On one hand they deserved it, but on the other you two are teaching the younger members that violence is the answer. It isn't. Try to look for a peaceful answer." Ace and Spade looked annoyed and even mocked Frankie. As they laughed Frankie grabbed both of them by their hair, "And until you learn to respect your higher ups you're banned from this corner of town for 4 days. Come back when you're ready to apologize!" "Ugh. Fine. See y'all!" They happily left.

"It's okay, Frankie. If they never learn it isn't your fault." Jinn patted her on the back. She sighed and walked away.

Kurokawa House

Two out of three of the Kurokawa's sat down at their dinner table. Mira and her father, Markus, talked about her first day back. "I tried to impress everyone and cast a high level summoning spell, like Pixeveious, but I ended up summoning some deformed fairies." Mira blushed looking down. "How'd that happen?" "Incantation Magic has everything to do with emotions, the tone of your voice, and placement of words. If you're feeling a certain way, you'll mess it up." "And you were anxious?" "....Yeah. And my voice cracked..." Markus held his daughter, "It's alright, Mira. You have all year to make mistakes and fix them. You're a great magician and you will get better." he grinned. While Mira's mother is hard on her, pushing her to become successful, her father is her comfort.

After dinner Mira went through her mother's collection of spellbooks with the intent to better herself. "I have to get better...found it!" She found a purple book with the Kurokawa emblem on the front, it was her mother's old go-to spellbook filled with powerful spells. Mira grabbed her coat and headed to the door, "I'll be back in a few, dad!" and left into the night.

7:09, Tulip Street

Ace kicked over a trashcan, angry, "We get kicked out for protecting those kids!? HOW DUMB!" "We should only help ourselves. Who cares about anyone else!?" "Why is Frankie even our boss? Who does she think she is?" Ace and Spade went on about their problems. Down the street was Mira practicing spells, "...let's try this one." She stopped, took a deep breath and held out her hand, casting, "Heranourme!" A blue blast of magic energy shot from her hands in front of her. Mira smiled brightly, "Ah! I did it!" An explosion followed the spell, "Oh crap!" She ran in the direction of the explosion.

Ace and Spade coughed through the dust of the explosion, "What was that!?" Mira gasped, "I'm sooo sorry! I was just practicing! I didn't mean to- " "Spade....let's kill her." "I'm down." Spade became surrounded by blue electricity as Ace's body let off a thick smoke. Mira's legs started to shake as she struggled to talk. She truly thought she was going to die before a light shone as bright as the sun. "ARGH! WHAT NOW!?" Then the light, as well as Mira, was gone. "What the-" "Where'd she go!?" Above them on the roof tops stood the same two men from outside the wall, "They seem like great teammates! Scorpio, inject them!" "Stop acting like you're the boss of me..." and they jumped down.

The Hikari Forest

Mira openned her eyes and raised up quickly from the cold ground, "Wha-? Where am I?" Kusuri wore a black cloak and stirred a cauldron, "Hey lady! My names Kusuri, who are you?" "Oh. My names Mira Kurokawa. Thank you for- " Kusuri screamed and hugged her, "LIKE THE SAGE FAMILY KUROKAWA!?" "Oh! Uh, yeah, hehe." "I'M KUSURI HIKARI! I can't believe I got to meet another one of my future comrades!" Kusuri span around. Mira giggled to herself, "You were the light that saved me?" "Yupperido!" "How'd you-" Kusuri grabbed a glass bottle filled with a golden, gleaming liquid, "This is the Hikari Potion. Only members of the Hikari Bloodline can drink this. It enhances our speed, strength, magic power and makes us glow! If someone like youuuu drank it....you wouldn't feel so good. Teehee." Mira laughed awkwardly and looked away, "Oh! Alright...I should get going now." Kusuri frowned, "Aw. Well, if you must, can you get me some Shining Moss so I can finish this potion?" "Oh. Sure!" Mira grabbed her coat and headed out the door.

"Is that- No. That's just regular moss. It shouldn't be that hard."

Mira wandered around Hikari Forest trying to find shinning moss, but instead found other kinds of moss.

She picked up a pole and looked inside, "Nope. This is liquid moss..."

8:12

Something grabbed onto one of her twin tails, "Ouch! EW! MY HAIRS STUCK IN CRUSTY MOSS!!"

8:22

She wandered around aimlessly and annoyed. She saw a glittering light that was warm on the eyes, "Could it be?!" She found a pile of shinning moss, "FINALLY!!" She was so excited she slipped and fell off the rock and noticed, "....This is....Kusuri's house-..." Kususri's entire house had shinning moss on it. He had played her for a fool. "DAMN BRAT!" She screamed as she ran out of the forest.
