The East, Mira, and Kusuri
"Mira, you know my potions not enough to kill it, right?" "Of course. I just need it to expose its forehead. That's where the gem is, though it's protected by a forcefield." Kusuri sat in astonishment. The confident and powerful person he was seeing was not at all like the sad and weak girl he had known. Suddenly, the serpent started to jerk and let out weak grunts. Then it curled over revealing a golden sphere in its forehead with the Sea Goddesses Pearl in it. "THERE! ASTROSPEAR!" Mira yelled, blasting a golden spear with two rings into the golden sphere.
The spear shattered on impact! "Mira!" Kusuri cried out. Mira didn't falter though, the shattered pieces were formed into other spears that stabbed at the sphere. Kusuri got a bright smile on his face, seeing his friend give her all he cheered her on, "Go, Mira!!" After the mental boost from Kusuri, Mira's magic became stronger. The sphere started to crack before the serpent raised its head and let out a devastating roar that sent shockwaves through the water nearly tipping over Mira and Kusuri's boat, "AAH!" "Hold on, Kusuri!" Mira seemed to go back to her scared self. The serpent opened its mouth and started gathering water in it. "IT'S PREPARING AN ATTACK!!" Kusuri clenched to Mira who was shaking violently. "We're gonna die..." she mumbled before a blue figure jumped from out the water. The figure pulled out a hammer of some sort which spinning water shot out from as they brought it's head down onto the sphere, shutting the mouth of the serpent causing an explosion of water and mist. The waves crashed and pushed the two of them, screaming, back to shore. "WHAT WAS THAT!?" "Argh, my head..." Mira held her head and looked up at a rock in the lake with the blue figure standing. They appeared to be wearing blue and gold armor. Before Mira could see anything else they turned into blue light and blasted away.
"Was that a person?" Kusuri ran over to Mira to help her up. "I've never seen magic like that..." "Mira! The Pearl!" They both looked up and saw the gleaming blue pearl, that seemed to hold the whole ocean, float down to them. "It's much more gorgeous in person..." Mira held it in her hands. "We did it!" "I guess so, aha." Kusuri and Mira were off to the Impenetrable Tower, mission complete.
The West, Ken, and Lark
Aries yelled loudly as he rose from the sand. His sword set ablaze which crystallized the sand, "Lucky shot. Now I'm serious." Ken smiled and said confidently, "Come at us!"
Without a second thought Aries blasted towards Ken, Ken just barely evaded the attack. "Sonic Blast!" Lark blasted Aries back but Aries came out unscathed and slashed at Lark's arm, "Bonfire Sanctuary!" Ken blocked the attack. The two of them kicked Aries into a pillar, which crashed on to him. "We work really well together, Lark!" "He's right! We defended each other while attacking flawlessly. Maybe we can be great friends..." Lark thought to himself but didn't reply to Ken. The rubble on top of Aries exploded into flames. "I'M NOT AFRAID OF YOU! I'LL SLAUGHTER YOU BOTH!!" The enraged Aries lit on fire, the sand around him crystalizing. This gave Lark an idea. "Ken." "I got it." Lark was a bit surprised to see they were on the same point, to which he laughed. Aries stayed where he was and pointed his sword at the two of them and the flames extended and pierced Ken's shoulder. "AHH!" Ken yelled out, clutching his shoulder. "It seems my firepower is superior. AHAHA-" Aries was kicked in the throat by Lark.
"Where did he come from!? He completely disappeared from my sight and reappeared fast enough to land a hit without me noticing! Without a sound, too!!" He fell to the ground and started crystalizing the sand. "Ken, now!" Ken ran up a pillar and jumped into the air above Aries, "Pyre Fist!!" Ken's entire right arm was surrounded with fire which he punched Aries deeper into the ground with. The result was a giant glass structure with Aries at the bottom. "We do work really well together," Lark said. Ken grinned.
"Now to find that crystal." Ken started digging through the sand. "It's right here. There's a note too." "It says 'From the humans, thank you for protecting us, mages. Maybe we were wrong about your kind.'" Ken smiled big after reading that. Lark grabbed the Tiger's Eye, "I guess you were right...." "What'd you say?" Ken asked, "Nothing. Let's get back quickly." And they were on their way.
The sky above the tower, Frankie
Frankie summoned her Flying Slippers and combined them with the Quasar Guns to make the Quasar Boots, black and blue boots that can blast Frankie through the sky faster than the slippers. She blasted into the sky towards the tower thinking, "I can't believe that deadbeat was useful to me..."
Frankie remembered back to when she was a little girl and her father was still around. She still remembered his scruffy blue hair and deep brown eyes. How he would hold her and read her stories with her mother. Back when times were simple...
"Daddy!!" "Frankie!" A small four-year-old Frankie with ribbons in her hair ran up to the tower of a man she called her father. He picked her up and gave her a hug, "Mommy!!" "Hi, Frankie." Erika would say lovingly. Before she went to bed Frankie was read a book about what happened in the Impenetrable Tower and how to get in. "The Pearl guarded by the Ocean Spirit, the Quartz surrounded in the sand, and the Diamond in the sky. Those are the three keys to enter the Tower." This was all before her father left for reasons she did not know. She grew sad and lonely when her mother left. Eventually, fully disobeying and rebelling against her mother whom she grew more annoyed every day. But she detested her father even more for leaving without a trace.
"What a shit family I've got." Frankie thought. Up in the sky, she found the floating white pedestal with the gleaming, Tsuki Heart. "Finally." When she placed her hand on it she had a flashback to when she was younger, startled, she dropped it sending it hurtling to the earth below. "SHIT!" Frankie blasted through the sky to catch up to it. "If I don't get that Diamond, I'll never get Ace and Spade back! If I don't get that Diamond the others won't get their parents back! If I don't get that Diamond back..." Frankie realized the severity of the situation in a moment, "I'll lose everyone. I'll have no one. I'll be alone." Because of Frankie's display of emotions, the Tsuki Heart flew into her hands. "Ah! What the hell?" Frankie wiped her eyes. She didn't know this but the Tsuki Heart responds to strong emotions and holding it can remind a person of their happiest memory. She landed on the ground and saw a blue gleaming light from the east. It was Mira and Kusuri.
The Sea Goddess' Pearl glowed brightly, reacting to the Tsuki Heart. "Woah!" Mira and Kusuri exclaimed. "Look!" Mira pointed to the orange glow coming from the Tiger's Eye with Ken and Lark. "We all did it!" Kusuri cheered. The five of them brought the Crystals together. They all glowed and started to rise and circle around each other.
From inside the tower, Scorpio saw this happen. "Lord Mars. You have visitors," he said cracking a grin. "ARIES!" Mars yelled out for him and within seconds he manifested in red light, still angry and lit ablaze. "Lord Mars! The two I was holding off retrieved the-" "I know." Mars said sternly. "You all will fend them off until the poison goes into effect in exactly 50 minutes and their leaders are under my control." Aries, Scorpio, Ace, and Spade all went down on one knee and called out in unison, "YES, LORD MARS!"
"What's happening?" "Is the tower cracking?!" Kusuri pointed at the white cracks around the tower, "No. The Eternal Magic cast upon it is coming undone." Lark said solemnly. "This is it, guys. Inside those doors at the top is our parents." "And Mars..." Mira trembled but Kusuri held her hand and smiled. "If any of you die, oh well." Frankie chuckled. The New Sages were battle-ready. Finally, the spell shattered, sending the crystals back to where they came. The two giant wooden doors opened sending dust and bad feelings out encasing them. "This feeling..." "Are we really up against mages?" "It doesn't matter what we're facing. They threatened our city and kidnapped our sages. Let's get 'em!" And with that, the five young sages rushed into the tower that held their parents and extremely threatening enemies.
