As we go into the dining room, I see that there are only two remaining seats and Lissa sits down first, so I go to the seat between Jake and Mark.

"Hey, how'd you like your room?" asks Mark and I respond saying that it was really good.

Jake then winks at me and says, "That's good gumdrop."

Everyone on the table starts to chuckle and I look at Jake weirdly to see him laughing his head off.

"Were you eavesdropping?!" I gasp dramatically as a joke.

"Well yeah, my room is right next to yours and you may not have noticed, but your door was open, so I heard everything," he said, while trying his best to control his laughter.

"Then please explain how everyone knows about this," I say, attempting to sound unimpressed.

"Well I just told them all before you came and I told Lissa just after your conversation with Dan," he explained.

I could not believe this!

"Don't worry, gumdrop. It's not like we'll keep this against you for the rest of your time here," Mark says with a laugh.

Grrr! Stupid Dan. It was bad enough when he called me that, but now he's got the Harris's calling he gumdrop aswell. I was definitely going to have a good rant at him the next time I see him.

Dinner was delicious! We had homemade spaghetti carbonara - my favourite and for dessert, Marie had made the best fruit trifle that I had ever had.

"Marie, you are such a good cook. The dinner was amazing!" I gushed.

"Why thank you, Kristy. I'm glad you enjoyed it," Marie smiled at me.

I really like this family and they're treating me just like one of their own members.

After that heavy yet delicious dinner, I went back to my bedroom and was finally able to have a shower. After staying in the shower for half an hour (don't judge, it was a really good shower) I went back into my room, wearing one of the Harris's big, fluffy towels. I was just about to take it off when I heard a voice from my window, " I wouldn't do that if I were you. You haven't fully shut your curtain."

OMG! I'm sure I shut my curtain properly. I instantly turn to face my window and close it before Dan can see the embarassment that is evident on my face. I could hear him laughing for the next few minutes and then he had the nerve to start a conversation.

"Nice towel, you sure looked charming," he said with a chuckle.

"Oh shut up! You shouldn't have been looking in the first place," I whisper to him angrily, because I didn't want Jake to hear this conversation aswell.

"You did say that you will always keep your curtain shut, so it's not exactly my fault that you left it open." he retorted back.

"Whatever," I said and with that, I started getting ready for bed.

All of my old pyjamas had been replaced with the girliest of nightdresses. They were all frilly or flowery in pale colours and I really did not think that I would be able to sleep properly with them on. After choosing a pink floral nightgown, I lay in bed and tried to get some sleep. This was very difficult, because I could hear Jessie running up and down the stairs, trying to find Andrew and Jake and Mark were not even bothering to keep their voices down when they were on their phones. I thought that Lissa was asleep, because no sound was coming from her bedroom, but I was proven wrong when she barged into my room to check if I was asleep. I pretended to be asleep, because I was far too tired to talk to people at the moment. After that, she left my room and ran down the stairs aswell. I had a feeling that the Harris's weren't ones to sleep early. This was going to be exhausting!

After an hour or so, I eventually fell asleep, but soon after I was woken up by the sound of fire alarms coming from next door and everyone in our house was going down the stairs to check out what was happening. I hurriedly put on a robe and went down with them. We went out into the road where the rest of the neighbours were congrigating and saw two fire engines parked outside the Waters's house. Their family were awkwardly standing outside, chatting to Andrew and Marie and I could finally have a look at Dan's parents. His dad was very tall with a flat moustache and dark hair. His mother on the other hand looked very friendly with her bubbly smile and bright blue eyes. She had long blonde hair that reminded me of my old hairstyle. Dan looked very out of place there, as he was wearing some black shorts with a t-shirt which he obviously just threw on before they left the house. He looked up at me and I turned away quickly, so that he wouldn't know that I was looking at him.

I turned to their house and saw that smoke was coming from their front door. I assumed that the fire had occured in the kitchen and the firefighters didn't look too alarmed, so I guessed that everything would be fine soon. After an hour, the firefighters left and after the neighbours each had their turns talking to the Waters's, they all left. I read my clock when I got back to my room and saw that it was already 4:52. Oh gosh. I hoped I wouldn't have eye bags tomorrow. Thankfully, I managed to fall asleep as soon as I got into bed. What an eventful day!
