She was gasping for air. The water from warm turned into ice. "so this is how I'll die" the girl though.
Suddenly someone's strong grip pulled her out of the water. Her nostrils were hit with fresh air. The girl took a huge breath. Someone slapped her left cheek.
"My lady?! My lady are you alright?"
A male voice asked. The voice was strong and firm it also had a strange accent. She couldn't figure out what country it was from.
Slowly she opened her eyes. The bright winter sun hit her eyes. There were two people above her however she couldn't figure out who it was. Her vision was blurred.
"let's take her to the castle. Princess needs to be taken care off" was said by a delicate female voice.
The girl couldn't register more because suddenly she fainted from cold.

Two days later.
The warmth of the place made her comfortable. The bed she was laying on was fluffy and the duvet was soft. For a second she believed she was in heaven.
"She's waking up. Inform Princess Gisela and Duke Rollo."
She heard a familiar female voice.
The girl took a deep breath and opened her eyes.
"where am I?" she thought. The place was unfamiliar. The ceiling was made from solid bricks and rocks. The bed she was lying in was huge. It definitely wasn't a hospital. Where was she then?
Suddenly the girl heard a huge wooden door open.
"Oh my God. Thank Heavens you all right " she heard another female voice and suddenly this woman was hugging her.
The girl looked at the woman that was holding her.
Long brown hair, curly hair. The dress she was wearing was long and looked straight out of the middle age. What was going on?
"excuse me but who are you?"
The girl finally asked. She could hear gasps coming from everyone in the room. All of six pairs of eyes looked at her surprised. The woman let her go and she could see her big brown eyes that were full of tears.
"Josephine you can't be serious. Please, you don't know me?"
"Should I?"
Shd asked and more tears could've have been seen in the woman's eyes.
"Josephine it's my Gisela your older sister."
"my older sister?"
"yes. Please tell me you remember."
"Gisela where am I?"
"In Normandy."
"In Normandy? In France?"
"Yes. You felt into the frozen lake while taking a walk. Thank God your court lady saw it and alarmed the guard who took out of the water."
"Gisela right?"
"Yes, sister?"
"What year is it?"
"You don't know?"
Josephine shook her head as a no.
"It's 817 years after Christ birth."
"Pardon? It's impossible ."
"What falling into water? It is possible especially for such curious creatures as you are."
Gisela wanted to say something more but someone who looked like a medieval doctor spoke first.
"My lady it's going to be better if Princess Josephine takes rest. As we can see she's still in shock after what happened two days ago. She should take her medicine and pray a lot, maybe tomorrow she'll be better. We should all leave her alone so she can get better".
"As you insist my lord. Sister take a rest I'll come back tomorrow with your nephews and nieces. Maybe tomorrow you might remember something".
She said and stood up from the bed. The man who came with her looked at the girl with a strange look in his eyes. As he knew something she didn't. Josephine had to admit he scared her. Long brown hair and bulky figure. On top of that, he was tall. Really tall. He didn't look like someone from France.
With one last glance, he left with Gisela and closed the wooden doors behind him.
Josephine was left alone with her thoughts.
"I bet all of this is some stupid prank made by school bullies. I won't give them the satisfaction of winning. I'll play along with them to laugh at the end"
The girl thought while falling asleep. She had no idea how much of real life it really was.
