Chapter 33

6 days have passed since that day and my plane had just landed at the airport. Levi and Hanji just texted me that they were on the highway to pick me up since Eren was busy at work. When I entered the airport, I got my luggage and found myself a seat to I sit down.

I used my phone for 10 minutes until Hanji and Levi showed up with their daughter, Leigh. Hanji walked up to me with a quickened pace once she saw me and she gave me a hug. I hugged her back whilst smiling. "Nice to see you, you maniac." I joked. "You too." She chuckled lightly. I let her go and then gave Levi a hug. He gave me a hug almost instantly, which was rare since he wasn't the type to give our hugs willingly.

Then, I turned and saw Leigh. I raised my eyebrow and she smiled and ran up to me. I knelt down to eye level with the young girl and gave her a hug. She hugged me back and giggled. "I missed you." "I missed you too." I smiled.

After we said our hellos and stuff, Levi drove us back home. Hanji was in the passenger seat and I was in the back with Leigh next to me. I was talking with Hanji while Levi jumped into our conversation every now and then and Leigh took a nap. We arrive at my house later on and I walked in. Levi and Hanji needed to go to the hospital for an appointment, so I said my goodbyes as I began unpacking what I had brought.

I finished 20 minutes later so I decided to relax and watch TV, alone, with my red scarf on. Annie and Armin were on their way, but it would take a while since it was an hour drive. Connie and Sasha would also be coming with them, carpooling basically. Krista was working a shift and Ymir and Jaxsons had their own mommy, son day, so they'd drop by once Krista finished with her shift.

50 minutes later, I got hungry and decided to eat some food. My vomiting had become less frequent and I'm now able to stomach some food. So I took a piece of toast and popped it in the toaster. Minutes later after I had spread some butter on my toast and was eating it, the doorbell rang so I dashed to open the door and saw all my friends.

"Hey!" Connie greeted me, waving.
I waved back. Sasha invited herself in, as did everyone else. Then, Annie walked in with two bottles of alcohol.
"Umm, are we throwing a party?" I nervously asked.
"No, just celebrating your last few days before you gotta go back." Annie smiled.
The little kids went outside to the backyard and played with one another.
I felt nervous as I let Annie walk past me and put the bottles of alcohol on the table. I know that I can't drink any with my pregnancy, so I just passed up every offer that occurred that would've resulted in me getting drunk. But although I didn't get tipsy, the rest sure did. All except for Annie got drunk since Annie is one of the few people that can handle their drinks.

Annie and I were chatting with each other in the kitchen while she helped me prep some food. We were talking about our usual silly and senseless stuff when she remembered something. "Ah, last time I was here I forgot something in your room." She said. "Oh, go up there and see if you can find it then." I said. She nodded and dried her hands. Then she ran upstairs.
She came back downstairs 5 minutes later and her expression was more dismayed than it was before.

"You okay?"
"Huh? Oh.. yeah. I just didn't find it." She said.
Although her reply was simple, I just felt like she wasn't telling the truth. However, I just let it go and put the small meals on the table. Everybody took something to fill up their stomachs temporarily and began to watch whatever was on TV.

A couple minutes into our random action movie, Annie pulled me to the side and dragged me away.
"Where are you taking me?"
"I.. need to show you something." She said as she took me upstairs.
I reluctantly nodded as she took me to Eren and I's room.
"I came in here to check and your suitcase was open and.. I saw something." Her voice was low.
"What did you see?" I asked, getting nervous.
She hesitated as she pointed to a small trinket in my suitcase. I turned around and saw it, shocked.
"Is this really happening, Mikasa?" She worriedly asked.
This was scary, Annie always called me Mika. If she's calling me Mikasa, it must be serious.
"Unfortunately, yes. I'm pregnant." I picked up the pregnancy test that Annie was previously looking at and showed her the positive result.

"B-but how?! You haven't even seen Eren yet. Unless.." she clasped her hands to her mouth "you're cheating on him."

Tears poked my eyes. I would never! "I would never!" I repeated my thoughts. "I-I just needed to earn money and my jobs weren't paying off and.." I trembled, thinking back to that night. "it all happened so fast, An! First we were just drinking a disgusting drink.. and the next thing that I knew, I had a penis inside of me!" I cried.
Annie shushed me and wrapped her arms around me. She gave me a hug and helped calm me down. I pulled my red scarf over my face to mumble the sound of me sobbing. That night ruined me. It hurt me. I hated that night. I grew.. no.. I am scared of Marlo. I knew something bad had to happen. Nothing ever goes right with my life. I feel so embarrassed.
I began to silently sob in Annie's arms. She stroked my hair and shushed me.

"It's okay, Mika. Just tell--"
"I know.. I'm gonna tell Eren."
As Annie and I were hugging, I heard footsteps behind me. Thinking back to Connie's and Sasha's wedding night and how Eren overheard Annie's and I's conversation, I jumped to turn around, only to be relieved when I saw Sasha. I sniffed and wiped a tear away.
"You're.. pregnant?" She said, confused. "By a random man?" She sounded so disappointed in me.
"I--"
"Yes, she is." Annie cut me off and responded for me.
"Mikasa. Do you know how serious this is?!" Sasha raised her voice.
"I know!" I yelled.
"Hey!" Annie spoke up. "There's no need to fight."

"Sasha!" Annie looked at Sasha in the eyes. "You should know that it does no good to stress out a pregnant woman!" Annie exclaimed.
Sasha wiped a tear that nearly escaped her eye. "I just don't want Mikasa and Eren to fall out of a relationship because of this!" She cried. "We're supposed to be one big family, Mika!" She looked at me.
"I know. I'm sorry." I feel to the floor. I cupped my hands over my face and started bawling and covered my face with my scarf again. Then I heard footsteps approach me and then an arm wrap itself around me. I looked up and saw Sasha.

"I just don't want our friendship to end because of this. My intentions aren't to make you feel bad. I'm just worried." Sasha admitted.
"I know.. I'm so sor--"
"No Mika! No more apologizing. I'm sorry for making you feel bad." Sasha cut me off.
I started crying even more. I don't know why they're so kind to me. I'm carrying a man's baby that isn't even my boyfriend's. "What did I do to deserve you guys?" I whispered whilst my scarf fell down my face, slowly.
"You were--no, you are a great friend! And we love you because of that."

A couple of hours later, Krista and her family as well as Hanji and her family finally showed up. Eren came too. We all enjoyed our time together until it was time for them all to leave and it was just Eren and I, alone. We both laid in our bed together, Eren with his left arm around me, and we talked about non-important stuff as well as stuff about work and my college. But then...

"Hey, Mika?"
"Yeah babe?"
"Um.. wanna go on a date tomorrow?"
"Oh.. ok. But why?"
"I just.. have this feeling that you've been distant. Or that you're trying to avoid me. So I want to go on a date just to clear my head and hang out with my favorite girl in the world." He smirked.
"Oh, okay. Yeah, of course. We can go." I smiled.
He pecked my cheek. "Thank you." He turned on his side then. "Goodnight babe. I love you."
I was hesitant to respond. 'He's knows me too well. I can't keep this secret from him forever.
That's it, I've decided. I'm gonna tell him on our date tomorrow. And then.. he'll know.'

So, I finally respond. "Goodnight..."

A/N: Okay, so I've been posting a new chapter every 2 days for the past... week... I think? The reason why is because I'm gonna be going on a Christmas break for 2 weeks and I'll be back on January 5th, Saturday 2019. So until then, this'll be my last chapter until 2019.
