Background:
Jeongin lives with Chan and Woojin who took him in 2 years ago after his life went to hell in just under 6 months. His mother died from cancer and his father died from a stroke in the same month as his birthday. He and his two brothers were devastated. His older brother tried to take care of himself and his two younger brothers, but bills went skyrocketing from the hospital, funeral, and house bills. Jeongin started to miss school by trying to help pay for things by finding a job. His younger brother being bullied at school and would cry to them about the hurtful things they said or did. Jeongin's older brother felt overwhelmed by all this stress. Soon about 3 months of things getting worse no matter how much Jeongin has tried to help his older brother, he sadly couldn't prevent him from committed suicide in the bathroom of their house. Jeongin and his younger brother were broken.
2 weeks after they lost their brother they, lost their house and had to sell everything inside. They both tried to find jobs for summer but there was no luck. They were homeless, no food, no clothes just a small bag that had 2 changes of clothes for both. Jeongin lost contact with his friends as he has no phone and lived 1 hour away from school. No one was to help Jeongin or his younger brother. They thought this was the worse life could get for them. They would always cry in each other's arms on a bench in a park or under a tree. But what they didn't realize was life can worsen, and that's with jeongin's younger brother getting bit by an aggressive dog on the leg. Jeongin couldn't bring him to the hospital as he couldn't pay for the bills. Jeongin had to watch his younger brother die slowly for 2 weeks as the infection soon took a huge toll on his body.
Life was harsh to someone who never took anything for granted and always helped others. He was broken, hungry, and lonely. His brother died a month later from the infection. Jeongin was determined to be the last family member to survive even if it means killing himself mentally. He would always say he wasn't good enough that he should have died not the others. He did everything you should do to your mental health. Jeongin soon was in school but being as he only has a few clothes, no house just wearing dirty, blood-stained clothes that smelled, hair was past shoulder length, smelled not so good even if he stole deodorant and perfume him not having a shower in over a month. The only way he washed was in a bathroom but even then places wouldn't let him in because of his smell or his looks.
he was always bullied, was a laughing stock, and was just a toy to everyone. The words kids said didn't hurt him, what hurt was not being able to go home and cry in his parents' arms or seeing his little brother find joy in every little thing small or big, bad or good. He missed being yelled at by his older brother for bugging him about his crush.
One day there was a wildfire that happened about 20 minutes away from a school near Jeongin's that had burned down. A week later a bunch of kids transferred to Jeongin's school. A bunch of them mocking Jeongin while others felt bad for him as they saw how fast life can be a bitch. What no one knew was that is when Jeongin's life went from hell to.......hellevean?
