I woke up to a soft singing in my ear.
What you want, what you need has been killing me.
Try to be everything you want me to be
I say yes I’ll undress; I’ll do more for less
And I will change everything until it’s perfect again
I rolled over to face Josh. “How did you know I like that song?”
“I went through your iPod and Perfect was the most played song besides Skin & Bones.”
“How did you find out my password?”
“A Marianas Trench song isn’t a good thing to make your password when you’re touring with Marianas Trench.”
“How long did it take you to guess?”
“I only got locked out once.”
“I guess Acadia isn’t going to be my password anymore.”
Josh just laughed.
“What time is it anyways?”
“It’s about eleven or so.”
“Do we have a show tonight?”
“No.”
“Then why did you wake me so early?”
“I want to spend our day off with you.”
“Aren’t you romantic?” I rolled over so I was facing the wall.
Suddenly, two strong arms found their way around me. “You are you going to spend time with me whether you like it or not.” Then, he pulled me, along with the blankets I had wrapped around me. “You’re still in what you were wearing last night?”
“I was too tired to change.”
He put me down. “Change, now.”
“Fine.” I grabbed a pair of faded black skinny jeans and a red button up shirt out of my suit case.
I closed the curtain and changed in the tiny bunk.
After I climbed out, Josh looked me up and down.
“I’m not putting on shoes and you aren’t making me.”
“Let’s go to the back lounge.”
He walked passed me but turned around when I hadn’t moved. “Are you coming?”
“Carry me!”
“You are such a lazy ass!” He bent down and picked me up bridal style.
He walked into the back lounge.
“I’m here,” I announced as he stopped walking and set me down, “Where are Lily and Matt?”
“I don’t know; probably flirting in the front.”
I shrugged and claimed my corner.
The guys were about to start a game of Halo when Josh turned to me abruptly. “You are not going to be a loner today. You are going to sit here and I will teach you how to play.”
