Four | The Ride

Everyday felt like it was constantly on repeat for me. I would either be training with the girls all day or be with Mark and his NCT schedule.

Mark hadn't brought up the past anymore nor the conversation we had that got interrupted a while back. It felt like it hadn't even happened to be honest.

"Sohyun, have you seen my other shoe? The red one?" I shouted as I looked underneath my bed and around my room.

"No--oh wait. Yeah, it's right here!" She shouted from the living room area. I stood back up and rushed to the living room.

I was kind of late for meeting Mark.

Today was Valentine's Day, and NCT had a music show and a concert that I was supposed to be attending. It was also Jaehyun's birthday.

Sohyun chucked it at me as I stood near the enterance, and I caught it with ease. I shoved my foot in before hopping around to get the heel in.

"Why does it have to be those shoes?" Aivy asked as she was sitting on the couch with her laptop.

I fixed my hair from the crazy mess and straightened out my shirt. "Dress code today. Anyways, I have to go. Bye!" I rushed out the door and to the elevators.

The elevators seemed slow, and as soon as they opened again, I ran to the company's main building.

I got a few strange looks from older people as I ran past them, but I had woken up late and was already five minutes late.

I entered the building and saw that NCT was waiting in the cafe area. Doyoung motioned for me to come over.

"Am I late?" I said out of breath as I plopped down next to Doyoung. I leaned against the booth chair.

"Happy birthday, by the way, Jaehyun." I said as he was sitting on the other side of Doyoung.

"Thank you." Jaehyun said.

Doyoung pushed a piece of my hair out of my face before fixing my hair in the back. "Technically, you are late, but the cars haven't come yet so it's okay."

"Really? I ran here and everything." I responded as I focused on evening my breathing. I felt like my effort was all for nothing.

He seemed satisfied with his touch ups and stopped touching my hair. I looked around to see that a lot of the public cafe seats were taken by NCT.

Many fans were not in the cafe due to the fact that they were probably at the concert arena or music show already. The people that were here though were just enjoying their meals and not minding NCT much.
