Thirteen | The Idol Life

A couple of days, maybe even weeks, had passed since Mark was instructed to have a break from physical work. I wasn't quite sure since time was a blur with everything I had to do.

There were many practices for my own group, concerts, and fansigns that I needed to attended because of Mark and other scheduled activities, such as, interviews to attend.

I felt as if there was no time for breaks nor time to just think. I had gone from one place to another everyday without giving it much thought.

I didn't even know what date it was since I just focused on my schedule.

Today a few NCT members had an event at a elementary or primary school, whichever you wanted to call it. Everyone that was going was Mark, Jaehyun, Jaemin, Taeyong, and myself.

"What are we going to be doing here?" I asked as we got out of the van. The van was parked in front of the school and no one was around. Everyone was in class.

"They have a class where they make different foods or snacks everyday. We will be decorating a cake for them to take home." Jaemin said.

I remember him saying he did a lot of volunteer work and even being scouted by SM at a volunteer center. The image fit him perfectly since he was so caring and loving towards others.

"Did you volunteer here a lot?" Jaehyun asked him.

Jaemin nodded. "These kids are so cute and sweet. I always came here when I could." He replied.

"How old do they range from?" Mark asked as we walked up the school's steps.

"It only holds the younger grade levels. They are from five to eight years old." Jaemin explained how the kids had to move to the other school down the street for the upper levels due to the small building the school was in.

We greeted the principal who was waiting by the front door along with other school staff members. "Hello. Welcome to our school."

She guided us down the hall to the place where the class would be held. "We will be working with the kids that are five years old." She said as we entered a big space with three big tables and many chairs.

"The kids require more help, but for the most part, they do things themselves." The principle said.

"That's no problem." Taeyong said as he couldn't wait for the kids to enter. Other teachers would also be there to help us so we wouldn't be doing this alone.

"Here they come." Jaemin said.

The kids entered shyly after their teacher when they saw all of the cameras SM brought to film us with. The teacher ushered for them to sit down at the table.

Many of them relaxed when they recognized Jaemin. "Oh! It's Jaemin." A cute little girl with pigtails said.

Jaemin smiled brightly as he waved to the kids who remembered him, which was about ninety-nine percent of them.
