I would like to dedicate this poem to my mother. I wrote this for her a few years back after we had a fight. I remember I was so mad, so upset that life for me and my family hadn't turned out the way I wished it had. But I don't regret anything that happened, anything and everything happens for a reason and I believe that everything is the reason for why I am here today.
I love you mom. :)

A little girl and her mother were walking in the park.
It started to rain, the little girl laughed, and a dog began to bark.
The mother took the little girl's hand and they both ran beneath an arch.
They held each other oh so close but not a frown appeared towards the clouds, so dark.
The rain had stopped, the clouds shifted, and the little girl jumped upon the stone tile.
The mother stood and watched her child, just for a little while.
Then she gazed up at the rainbow that had appeared, and she began to smile.
"What do you wish to be when you grow up?" The mother asked her child.
The child stopped, looked up and thought for a moment.
"I wanna be a rainbow because they make mommy smile!" The little girl said with her lips curled into a crescent.
The mother smiled greatly, a tear threatening to descent.
She kissed the little girl's forehead and said, "Darling, you really are god sent."
