Chapter 8 Confused

"WHAT are you talking about?" Lucas asked

"He's my boyfriend" Mark said while looking at lucas

"Is it true?" Lucas looked at donghyuck

"No" Donghyuck said immediately

"What the heck lee donghyuck?" Mark said shocked of what donghyuck had said

"Why? I'm just telling the truth?" Donghyuck said

You're not really my boyfriend. Stop acting like you really want me to be yours

"Nice joke dude" Lucas said to mark then laughs but mark doesn't look so happy about it

"Can we talk for a sec donghyuck? lucas can you leave first? I just need to talk to him" Mark said in a serious voice

Lucas stopped laughing then looks at mark

"Sure dude. I'll go ahead donghyuck" Lucas said then smiled.

Lucas walked towards the door but turns around when he remembers something

"Hey, give me your number" Lucas said to donghyuck then hands him his phone

"I'm sorry but he can't" Mark said, he's standing beside donghyuck now

"Who told you?" Donghyuck said then gets lucas' phone and he puts his number on it. And that brings a smile on lucas' face.

"Okay, I'll go ahead for real now. I'll text you later" Lucas winks at donghyuck

When the door closed, donghyuck turned to mark and to his surprise, the latter didn't look so pleased at all.

"Nice" Mark said the walks closer to donghyuck while the latter steps back

"What? I'm just telling the truth?" donghyuck said

"You like him don't you?" mark asked while looking at donghyuck still walking closer to him

"I don't lik--ouch" Donghyuck's back reached the door. Mark placed his one hand beside donghyuck's head, pinning him

"You gave him your number" Mark said

"So?" Donghyuck said. He's trying not to sound scared at the moment

"You shouldn't have done that. You're my boyfriend" Mark said

"In front of your parents, yes but technically no" Donghyuck said while looking directly at mark's eyes. He can't see any emotions in there. He's so hard to read

"I don't care." Mark said

"Are you jealous? You acted like this before with jeno" Donghyuck asked and he really don't know why he hopes that mark would answer yes

But happiness seems to hate him

"No, why would I? I'm just uncomfortable with it, knowing that he's my cousin. I don't want him to have a partner like you. I know you and you're no good for him" Mark said

Donghyuck was surprised at what mark had said and it hurted him real bad

Donghyuck laughs bitterly at mark "So, are you saying that I'm not worthy enough to have a boyfriend? Cool"

Mark came back to his senses and avoids donghyuck's gaze

"T-That's not what I meant" Mark said

"No, it's okay. Thank you for reminding me. Have a good day sir" Donghyuck pushed mark a little and turns his back at him, leaving a confused mark behind

Donghyuck doesn't know why he's hurt about that. Maybe because he's starting to like him? or its because those words are harsh? or maybe those harsh words came from someone he likes

While he's walking towards the lift, he bumped into someone again but this time, he doesn't care at all. He mumbled a sorry then walks away but that person holds his wrist preventing him to walk away

"Hey, what's wrong hyuck?"

Donghyuck looks at him then he immediately hugs his bestfriend

"Who hurted you?" Jeno asked but donghyuck didn't answer he just continued to hug him

Jeno was about to go to mark's office to ask his boss about something when he saw donghyuck looks so sad

"Everything will be fine. Do you want to have some drink after work?" Jeno asked

Donghyuck just nodded at jeno

"Hey dude it's taeyong's birthday. You wanna come to the usual bar we hang out to?" Winwin said on the line

But mark doesn't look interested to what his friend said on the phone call

"Hello? Are you still there?" Winwin asked

"Yeah, what is it again?" Mark asked

"Whatever, Just come to our usual place. You know where is it. I'll bring some chick for you." Winwin said

"I'm not interested but sure I'll give it a try" Mark said

"That's good. See you later dude" Winwin hang up

While mark on the other hand, still feel guilty about what he said to donghyuck earlier

I shouldn't have done that

Mark is busy with his thoughts when he heard his phone rings. He didn't bother to look at the caller's ID

"Hello" Mark said

"Hello there son, I'm on my way there to visit and to see you and donghyuck. Let's grab some lunch together" Mrs. lee happily said

"We're both busy. Maybe some other time mom" Mark said but he said that because he knew donghyuck hates him now and there is no way that he'll agree to have lunch with mark.

"Aw, but i'm on my way and I miss you both" Mrs. lee said

Mark feels bad but he knows better

"Next time mom, I promise." Mark said and he heard his mother sighs on the call

"Okay son. Have a nice day. We'll have lunch together with donghyuck next time okay? Tell him that I miss my future son-in-law" Mrs. lee said then hangs up

Mark sighs still thinking about donghyuck

He doesn't know why he's uncomfortable thinking that donghyuck and lucas might date in the future and he doesn't want that to happen. It felt weird to him.

He wants donghyuck's attention to himself only. Donghyuck might be a brat kid but he admit that he can't stand a day without that kid. He wants to have him on his side only.

But don't get me wrong, I'm straight I just want him by my side always

For the third time, mark's phone rings and it started to annoy him

"Hello" he said

"Dude, She's back" winwin said

"Who?" mark asked confused

"Koeun" winwin said

And that made mark shocked

Koeun is Mark's long time girlfriend before who left him because she wants to pursue her career as a model abroad.

And mark loved koeun so much that time and who knows maybe until now

'I really need to have a drink later' mark said on his mind
