Sorta medieval au!
Jungkook is a naive young new guard, who just wants to make money to send to his mother. When he tried to report corruption in the lower ranks, he didn't realize that the corruption went all the way to the top.
When they want to get rid of nosy people, they lock them up with the demon they keep in the basement. Most people go mad or kill themselves within 5 mins with the demon.
So when the demon ask Jungkook to play, the demon is a little surprised when Jungkook pulls out a pack of cards. The guards are also surprised when it comes morning and Jungkook is still alive. As punishment, Jungkook is tasked with feeding and keeping the demon happy.
This was kinda really cute. A nice little read. Happy endings!!
