Taehyung is deaf. Basically all of his past lovers have left him because he is deaf and it was too much work for them to keep up with. At this point, Taehyung doesn't believe some one can actually love him.
Then he meets Jungkook. Taehyung knows that he won't be loved back, but still decided to confess his love and is deeply surprised when Jungkook confessed back. Jungkook knew that Taehyung wouldn't believe him when he confessed, so he decided to prove his love to Taehyung.
The story slowly shows how Taehyung goes from disbelief and insecurities to hopefulness to fully accepting Jungkook's love.
