Hyrule Castle, now owned by Kyriaxis, has changed for the worst. It may be the most challenging dungeon that Link could ever face. It was full of many enemies that he encountered during his adventure. The most tough ones of course were the Fallen Fairies, the main patrol of the castle.

A Fallen Fairy with a large spear appeared in front of Link. This was Link's chance to taste the new enhanced Master Sword. The Fallen Fairy flew to Link and tried to stab the Spear on his chest. Link jumped out of the way and passed above, slaying it's back with the Master Sword at the same time. The Fallen Fairy had it's back opened, letting out a dark aura, and dissapeared afterward. They were no match against the new power of the Master Sword.

Determined on saving Princess Zelda, Link got deeper into the castle. He got into the main hall, and saw a large stair leading to the second floor. However, the way was blocked by a barrier, and the source of the barrier came from seven doors around the hall; Link would take care of the barrier first.

The first place where he entered had a similar look to Death Mountain Crater, where he found the Fairy Charm of Din. It had monsters like Fire Keeses, Red Tektites and Dodongos wandering around, and of course, some more Fallen Fairies. The whole floor was made of lava, and it had platforms floating on it, many of them with a switch that could revealed new platforms for a limited period of time. Link passed through all of them and reached the end of the room. He then saw a Red Orb, which he destroyed by slaying it with the Master Sword. A dark source of the barrier has been destroyed, now there were only 6 left.

Link got back to the main hall and entered through the second door. A representation of the Lost Woods Ruins was found. More Fallen Fairies were found, along with some Bokoblins, Green Chuchus and Boko Babas. The place had two rooms: the first one had three torches that needed to be lit to unlock the door leading to the next room. The second room was about pushing some blocks to some switches to unlock the next door. Once he did all the trials, he got to the last room and found a Green Orb. He sliced the orb with the Master Sword and destroyed it, leaving five more rooms left to visit.

The next room was a resemblance to Lakebed Temple. Link had to use his Bow & Arrows to shoot a certain number of Octoroks to unlock the next door. There were purple and Green Octoroks. The purple ones counted has hit +, while the green ones didn't. Link shots the number of purple Octoroks needed to get to the next room. This room could be only passed by swimming, so Link decided to wear the Zora Armor. Having careful with some Fallen Fairies attacking him, Link passed through the whole room and got to the last one after wearing back the Hero's Tunic. He found a Blue Orb at the end and sliced it with the Master Sword, getting rid of another source of the barrier. Link got back to the main hall.

Having four doors left, the barrier was starting to get weaker. The next room will force Link to pass through some dark puzzles of the Shadow Temple.

There was nothing on the place other than some Bubbles, Like likes, and more Fallen Fairies. Remembering what he did back at the Shadow Temple, Link used the Lens of Truth and discovered some invisible platforms. Since they were far away one from the other, Link puts on the Hover Boots to reach them without losing time. He passed through all the platforms and reached the last room; a Purple Orb was found. Link slayed it with the Sword and destroyed it, leaving three more rooms left.

Link gets back to the main hall and enters through another door. He got back to the environment of Snowpeak, and because of that, Link wears the Jacket once again. The first room was blocked by many ice pillars, so Link got the Ball and Chain to break through. After that, he saw some hanging platforms that could only be moved by hitting them with the Ball and Chain. Link hits the first platform and made it move. He passed through all of them while avoiding some Ice Keeses and Fallen Fairies until he reached the last room. He then sees a White Orb and destroyed it with the Master Sword, leaving two rooms left.

Link gets back to the Main Hall and enters through the semi-final door, which had a similarity to the Temple of Time. Link had to take a statue with a big hammer to the end using the Dominion Rod, while avoiding some enemies like Lizalfos and Spiders, and of course, the Fallen Fairies. Having the statue with him, he passed through all the place and all the enemies, reaching the end. He then puts the statue on a pedestal, unlocking the door. He then passed through and sees a Yellow Orb. He then slayed it with the Master Sword and destroyed it. Link gets back to the Main Hall and saw the barrier more weaker than before; He then entered the final room.

This one was exactly like the Arbiter's Grounds, and it could only be passed by riding the Spinner across some rails, while avoiding the Fallen Fairies and some obstacles. He rides and jumps the rails, defeats enemies, passes through obstacles until he makes it to the end. An Orange Orb has been found. Link destroyed it and quickly gets back to the Main Hall.

The barrier blocking the way to the top of the Castle started to act distorted, and at the end, it dissapeared. Link could finally go to the top and retrieve the Great Fairy Rod... and save Princess Zelda.
