"There's no escape when fire meets fate."

- Ruelle

MERRY CHRISTMAS READERS! I advise ya'll to back read some chapters to gain understanding of this. Especially chapters xvii, xxii and xxiv. I missed ya'll so much! Actually, like Doctor Strange, I have a lot of ideas for the ending but this is the one I chose. Please do leave comments. I'm also going to create new fics and update the old ones! Although the others won't get updated, don't lose hope! I'm always developing the plot. Aaa, so much for that. A big thank you to those who still await for this chapter.

"No." That was the only word that came past Seulgi's trembling lips. It was a horror scene unfolding in front of her. Where are they? She asked herself, hesitating to take a step. She knew how much she loathed fire since it was the one that killed her dad but because of a promise that she made to him, she fought her fears and became an agent with no uncertainties. She never knew that she'll still find her flaws getting in her way with work.

This fire was a lot different. She doesn't know who's still alive or who's still struggling. Seulgi heaved a sigh before running towards the burning edifice. She tried to find for an entrance that can still be walked on. The house was made of mostly wood and in no time, fire would gobble up this place and that would take place in minutes. Should she call Baekhyun? He should've followed her with the other police here!

She found a door near the kitchen with less fire. She twisted the door knob only to hiss at herself from what she did.

She tried to calm herself. "Stop panicking Seulgi. You should've kicked the door idiot! Of course that thing is hot!" She's out of her mind from a lot of things and memories surging inside her head.

"A-Appa—" Little Seulgi cried as she watched her father surge inside the burning kindergarten building. She knew what her father's job was but right now, she's scared too. It was pretty dangerous, yes. Seulgi looked around for comfort, perhaps from Miss Jung but she was busy comforting and calling the parents of the other kids. She tried to find her friends from the swarm of children.

"Y-Yong! Jimin!"

There was no response.

"Y-Yong?" She called again. And this time, she saw Taeyong near the ambulance. He was crying. He looked scared. His eyes were glued to the front door. She then realized, it was Mrs. Lee, she's not here. Her eyes started to swell from tears. "No no," That was her tiny murmur. "Please help! T-Taeyong..."

A lot of minutes have passed but there were no reports about her father, Mrs. Lee and even Jimin. People panicked when the roof started to collapse. Who was responsible for this? Other firefighters were trying to take out the fire when all of a sudden, some of the kids gasped from what they saw.
