Did somebody say "double update"?!!!! 😱 wait, just me? 😂 I figured I'd just see what I could think up and it actually turned into a whole flippin' chapter! Hope you guys enjoy!- A.B.

Theo's POV

My consciousness recovered slowly, though even while I was out of it, there were certain things I was subtly becoming aware of, mostly,

What the actual fuck just happened?

In my sleep-like state, I I figured out at least some time had passed, as I was no longer in the comfort of my dorm room, that was given away by the constant vibration of whatever was underneath me. If it was for whatever drug had been given to me, it'd be losing my ever loving shit.

I tried my best to figure out where I was, and trying to piece together anything that might help me remember.

Well, firstly, I'm obviously wherever the hell that thing what's me to be. My goodness it was terrifying, whatever it was...

I mean, it was at least seven feet tall, maybe even taller, skin an inky black, and those eyes. They were red to the point they were glowing. They halted all my possible thoughts of running or scream, it was like I was hypnotized.

Well, at least I know what it looks like, not that that's gunna be of any help in this situation, at least I know I'll be able to profile him if cops show up, which, even if they did, it's highly unlikely that they'd know how to handle facing it any better than I did.

I tried to focus on my surroundings. Other than the vibration beneath me, I notice wherever I'm laying down is kinda hard. No like it was super uncomfortable, but something about gave away I was in a confined space. I then noticed it was probable because when my breathing became more rapid, I felt that breathe come right back, hitting me in the face and slightly heating the contained area. That, and the sound of my breathing echoing. Then it hit me.

I'm in a cage.

That fear forced my eyes wide open and sent my heart in a frenzy. When opening my eyes, my suspicions are confirmed by the cylinder that contains me. Looking at it up and down, there's no visible way for me to open it, and, even if there was, my arms and chest were strapped to something behind me, hindering any movements.

I felt my throat getting clogged with fear, unable to think straight, I did one of the few things my shivering self was capable of.

I screamed my lungs out.

I felt myself arch forward and my throat strain with the force behind my screams of terror.

This can't be real, this can't be happening to me, just WAKE UP DAMNIT AND GET OUT OF HERE.

And when I thought this situation couldn't get any worst, life figured it was a challenge. It seems my screams didn't go unheard.

In front of me there was a door I hadn't seen before. Wherever this was, there were no seems on the wall to give anything away or give the illusion of escape. But, sure, enough, a piece of the wall slide to the side with ease. I would be impressed by it if it wasn't for the two hulking figures storming into the room behind it.

Seeing their eyes lock on me instantly cut off my most recent scream in my throat, leaving me just a shaking mess in the glass tube.

They had slowed their run into the room to a slower pace when they saw me, though they did not stop until they were uncomfortable close to me. I didn't realize I was pushing myself back as far as I could in the tube until they halted within a foot of me, their eyes still locked on.

They seemed to be assessing things, looking between me and a moving screen to my right that was about to their eye level. One of the two became very fixated on my face, even as I squeezed my eyes shut, I could feel him still staring at me with those malicious red eyes.

After a moment, I felt myself jump with a throaty growl came from one of the things, I was to scared to open my eyes to figure out which was making the sounds.

(I'm too lazy to come up with a fake language, so I'll just separate and type out what they're actually saying, Let's see how this goes 😅)

Omnipotent POV

Alien 2:"What is that liquid running down his face?" The alien asked. He was confused by the odd action, wondering if it was a sort of poison or something to ward off predators.

Alien 1:"They are called 'tears' I believe." The older alien stated, trying to get a more accurate read on the machines he was reading while still trying to help the younger of his kind learn.

Alien 2:"I've heard of those, several third and fourth races secrete them, but aren't they only supposed to release those when they are in pain? His vitals show he is normal in Terran standards, if not a little thin, but he was already like that when you had taken him." The young alien was a little confused, but more intrigued than anything.

Alien 1:" Terrans are more sensitive creatures than we are. They have several forms of "Pain". While we may only categorize it as physical, their emotions also can experience a form of pain. Since you are young I don't blame you for not knowing, but he is in fact in pain. Look here." The older alien pointed to a neurotransmitter reading, "his body may not be under physical stress, but his mind is straining. For humans, both physical and mental health provide their own risks, and must be cared for. Their minds are just as susceptible as their body's. Take note of that."

Alien 2: "But, why don't they just turn the emotions off? Most all races are capable of running just based on natural instincts." The alien thought that it must be tiring to deal with such a thing, and the poor little thing seemed to be in so much pain.

Alien 1: "You forget, young one, that Terra is just barely a class two planet, hardly capable of such technology yet." He looked down at his young assistant, seeing the slight sadness on his face, he released a sign, "I understand you want to help him, but he will need to go through this eventually to come to terms with everything. And it's one of the many things Sil'nyy finds so endearing about the Terrans, so I doubt he'll be giving him am emotion muter anyway. It'll be better form him the quicker he can adjust."

Alien 2:" But, isn't there anything we can do for him?" His paternal instincts instincts were strongly effected by the young man. He himself was too young to have kits of his own, but seeing something so small and helpless made him yearn to take care of him.

Alien 1: he could see the stress it was causing his young assistant to see the Terran in pain, even if he couldn't empathize the way other Terrans might be able to. He himself had several feelings of guilt for taking the young thing from his home planet simple because their leader desired it to be. Signing again, he stated, "I will give him more of the sedative, it'll calm him for now, at least until we get back home so Sil'nyy can help him adjust." He pressed several buttons, releasing a less potent version of what was used to take him from Terra to calm him down into the capsule. And as the Terrans body relaxed, as did his assistants. He will make someone a fine mate someday, the older alien thought, wondering his chances with the pretty young one himself, only for his thoughts to be interrupted by a strong blast hitting the side of the ship, sending everything jostling about and alarms blaring. It's a good thing they put the Terran under when they did, because an attack like this could send anyone into a panic.

Now things are getting interesting 🤔 it's gunna be a little hard to tell who's good and bad in the beginning, and I'm interested in seeing who you guys think are actually the "good guys". Let me know what you guys think in the comments and don't forget to leave a like! Thanks for reading!-A.B.
