Super short chapter but I hope you enjoy! I also updated his fear so I hope that makes up for the small chapter for now! Enjoy!-A.B.

Vel's POV

Theo.

The word was on repeat in my head when it first emerged from my little mate. It was so simple, yet perfect. I'm sure it wasn't anything special where he is from, judging by his reaction to me saying several dozen times, but it was incredible to me. It was my mates name!

I had to work on controlling my
excitement, as I don't want to cause him to ask too many questions that I won't answer without my brother's present. Little Theo's mind must be going a mile a minute, especially considering the fact that he's still gazing out of the window.

I chuckle, looking at his awestruck face. I take for granted the beauty Castilla, as I'm sure most people do of their own planet, but knowing that this is his first time here, his first time seeing an alien world altogether, makes me appreciate it all over again.

He doesn't notice me leave the room to walk to a closet, where I emerge with several things I hope Nadi sized correctly. He insisted if he had to leave our mate, then he got to decide what he would be wearing.

So childish.

To be fair, we all would like to have thrown fits to stay with our mate, but there were things that needed to be done. Mal had to meet with the SA to discuss several custody agreements for us to keep Theo, Zek had to go see to several things throughout the main city, and Nadi is working on getting into the Dumarian's computer to see why they took Theo specifically. I usually don't like being useless, but in this case, I was more than happy to just lay in bed all day.

And technically, I was doing something. The bond begins to form almost immediately after a connection is made between all in the bond. We could all feel it when we touched him together. Not having all of your mates together when the bond is forming isn't harmful, so long as at least one mate is present. But if he were to be by himself for too long, the bond would begin to force him to seek out his mates. And to do that, it basically floods his systems full of hormones that'll make him feel anxious until he is in our presents. I've been told it can have detrimental effects to a mate if they are away from their mate too long, even after they've been fully bonded.

Reassuring myself that I'm not being selfish with our mate, I go to where he has moved in front of the window and present him his clothes, "I hope they all fit well. And if you'd like, there is a shower and bathroom in the door to your left, which you are welcome to use. I've done my research, and our races both have the same bodily functions, and bathe with the same water." He seems a little out of it as he takes the clothes in his hands, but he hasn't been panicked since he first woke up, which is a definite improvement.

"Okay, thanks. That'd be great actually." I lead the way into the bathroom, and show him how to use everything. I leave the bathroom, and then call my brothers to inform them that our little mate is awake and ready for a meal.

When Theo emerges from the bathroom, I had to bite my tongue so I didn't release the groan my body wanted me too.

His pale face was flushed with pink, his dark hair wet around his face, which made him look all the more delicate, his bright blue eyes as enchanting as ever, and his scent, my goodness, it was almost too much for me too handle. His scent was strong before, but without the underlying scent of the auction and drugs all over him, it was mind melting.

When I realized I was only staring and that my mate was obviously getting very uncomfortable, I forced myself out of the trance. I only then noticed that despite the new clothes I had given him, which he was wearing, he was still wrapped in the blanket Mal had given him when he was asleep on the floor.

Mal is going to love this. I think with a grin.

"Everything fit alright?" I ask. He nods, looking as timid as ever, and not making eye contact.

I sign, knowing it's going to be a long time before he's going to feel comfortable with us enough to talk with us freely, but for now, not cowering in a corner is enough progress.

So I reach out my hand and say, "Let's go get some of those questions answered, alright? My brothers and I will be more than happy to answer them over a nice meal, is that alright?" Again, another timid nod, but he walked up beside me and allowed me to rest my hand on the small of his back to guide him into the dining room.

I could feel Theo getting more nervous at the same time I could feel my brothers getting more excited about meeting each other. The meeting would be interesting, that's for sure.

Hope you guys enjoyed! It's 4 am where I am so I'm gunna just go to bed. Let me know what you think in the comments!-A.B.
