Short but sweet chapter ☺️ Theo needed a break after last chapters fiasco, and Nadi and Zek need some personal time with their mate! Hope you all enjoy!- A.B.

Theo's POV

"How are you feeling?"

"Okay, I think." I reply. I was mortified that I actually threw up on their floor, and then having Nadi and Zek fuss over me in a bathroom made me wanna keel over, but at least I wasn't nauseous anymore. They had insisted on helping me clean up, down to Nadi taking a wet towel and wiping around my mouth, which I could have done by myself, but again, they wouldn't take no for an answer.

We were sitting in a lounge area of sorts, on a couch, Zek to my left and Nadi to my right, sitting pretty close to me, but they weren't being handsy or anything, so it was fine.

We didn't do much talking once we left the dining room, as I was too shocked to do anything other than say I'm sorry and them both telling me not to worry about it. Once we all had sat down, I was told to ask anything that comes to mind, and to clear up anything that's been bothering me.

"Why am I here?" Being the most prominent thought on my mind.

Nadi began to answer, "Well, you're here with us because this is a safe place for you, and you need to recuperate from what you've been through."

"No, I mean-," I sighed, not sure how to phrase it, "I guess I mean more, why am I "here", in space, and not on my planet." I say.

Zek, understanding what I meant, speaks to Nadi to clear his confusion with my question, "He wants to know why he was abducted."

I could see the understanding now in Nadi's eyes, and a little bit of sadness in his soft smile. "Well, I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to tell you, or what you might understand, but I can this. You were taken by bad people, people who didn't follow laws. It is very illegal to interfere with Terra, let alone kidnap a Terran, but we promise that they won't do anything to you again, you are safe with us. And again, I promise we won't eat you." Nadi Squeezed my hand a little, and the shot of reassurance that crossed his delicate gray fingers into my own pale ones made me feel a lot better.

Like with Vel, I didn't know why, but their gentle words and soft touches made me feel safe, and, something I hadn't felt in so long, wanted.

Was that crazy? Am I going crazy? To be wanted by some creepy people in an auction house was one thing, but to be wanted by these hunky gray men? I could already feel my cheeks burning up at the thought of these men wanting me to be more than just a rescued Human or "Terran" as they keep calling me. Of them to enjoy my company and be excited to be with me.

Geez, my parents ditch me and I'm so starved for a connection that I'm actually considering, not just one, but all four of these men to have an interest in me? My goodness, I really am going crazy.

I heard a door open to the side, and a gray alien, one I hadn't seen before, came in with a tray in their hand. They placed it on the table in front of me, and exited once Nadi told them a 'thank you'.

I examined the tray, seeing a pot of something and glass next to it, along with several small foods on a plate next to it.

Zek reached forward and poured the liquid from the pot into the glass, revealing a pale blue colored liquid. He presented it to me, but I was hesitant to take it without knowing what it was first.

"Istelen'ye, it helps with minor aches and uneasiness. It'll help settle your stomach, and the food is all light and won't make you sick. There's nothing funny about it." Zek says. He's not as soft-spoken as Nadi, but he's still gentle and for some reason, not scary at all to me.

I grab the glass from him and examine it. I take a sniff, it smells a little minty, but nothing weird. I take a sip. When nothing weird happens, I take a few more. Confident that I'm not being poisoned, I relax a little bit into the couch, allowing myself a minute to be calm.

I continued to ask Nadi and Zek questions as I thought of them, I even surprised myself by eating some of the food on the plate.

It was nice just sitting like this, talking like I wasn't on an alien world, talking with real aliens. To be honest, I hadn't even done this on earth in a while. I was always so busy, and stressed on earth, but here, I just hope that these aliens were being honest, but at this point I don't really have any doubts that they are.

One yawn was all it took to cease my questions. Nadi got up and retrieved my blanket, where it was sitting by the bathroom sink.

I finished of my drink and let myself be laid down across the couch, my blanket draped on top of me and my head resting on someone's lap. The minute I felt fingers working through my hair, I was out.

Little bit of fluff for the night that I hope you guys liked. Let me know what you think in the comments! Thanks for reading!-A.B.
