CHAPTER ONE

My name is Mary Muller, I'm your average kindergarten teacher. I wake up every morning at six A.M., get dressed, brush my teeth and drink myself a cup of coffee. I flip through the news paper and something catches my eye, but what? Hmm. In big black letters it reads:

HELP NEEDED: MONDAY-FRIDAY 4:30-7:30 P.M. Two small children, ages 3 and 4. Will pay $50.00 a day. PLEASE CALL IF INTERESTED. 555-2132 (anytime day/night)

This was absolutely perfect, because it wouldn't interfere with work schedule and I'd still have my weekends off. I'm so glad I looked in the paper. I grabbed my phone and dialed the number.

"RING, RING"

"Hello," a soft spoken woman answered, "Wilkerson residence, may I help you?"

"Yes, hi, this is Mary Muller, I'm calling about the ad in the paper," I spoke excitedly, "is it still available?"

"It sure it, when would you like to come?" she asked kindly.

"When is a good time for you?" I asked.

"Today would be great," she chimed, "say around 4:30?"

"Sounds great, see you then Mrs. Wilkerson!" I squeaked excitedly.

We hung up, I grabbed my purse and headed out the door. It's kind of chilly today, guess I should've brought a coat. I got in my car, buckled up, and headed off to school. I cant wait to see all of my little rugrats today. I have so many things planned for today, but the main thing I have on my mind is meeting the Wilkerson's this evening.

I keep wondering what they are like, and why no one else tool this job offer. I mean, that's a lot of money for only three hours. I don't even make that in three hours at work, but oh well. I hope they aren't some kind of creepy family, I really don't like creepy people.

I pull up at the school, grab my things and step out. It's a cool day, I'm sure glad I have sleeves on today, I'd freeze today if I didn't. I lock my car behind me and walk on to my classroom. The kids will be here shortly, so I'll go ahead a lay everything out for the day. My classroom is decorated with Winnie the Pooh, every childs best friend at this age.

The morning went by as usual. We said our ABC's, counted ONE through TEN, named our colors and named our shapes. Melinda, one of my more quieter students asked,

"Miss Muller, can we play ronga, ronga rosey?"

I smiled and replied, "Yes Melinda, we can play ring around the rosey." The class clapped in unison. The children loved playing this, it's their most favorite game.

We went to lunch after playing, then came back to the classroom for nap time. Some students didn't take naps, but most did. I was hoping today they would all take naps. To my surprise, they all passed out. Every last one of them, it's almost like they were put under a spell of some sort. Suddenly, my cell phone went off. It's from a weird number I don't recognize. I open my phone and read:

-Looking forward to meeting you this evening. I'm so glad you called this morning, I was seriously about to give up on a sitter. The kids are very excited about meeting you, my husband is also. If you have any questions about how to get here, please let me know. Oh gosh, I should probably mention this is Mrs. Wilkerson. This is my cell phone number. Again, we can't wait to see you, oh and please say you'll stay for dinner? Hope to hear from you soon.-

Wanda Wilkerson :)-

My replay to her was:

-Wanda,

I'm also looking forward to this evening. I love kids and I can't wait to meet them and also you and your husband. I would be happy to stay for dinner, thank you so much for the invite. I'll see you all soon.

Mary Muller-

That was weird, I wonder how she got my number? Hmm. Oh well, maybe she has caller ID or she got it off the internet. Who knows. Still I'm a little creeped out, but I'll get over it once I meet them, right? Right.

A few of my students started tossing and turning, so I walked over and rubbed their backs. They still have an hour and a half before nap time is over. I love all of my students so much and I hope once this school year is over they we forever remember me. That's all I want for my students, to learn from me and to remember me. Because I will forever remember each of them.

The school day ended, and now it's time to head and meet the Wilkerson's. I'm excited, scared and panicked all rolled up in one. I'm not even sure why, but something has me all shook up. As I pull into the traffic, my car makes a funny noise. It almost dies, but I look and I have plenty of gas, so I'm not sure what it is. It's four o'clock and I have to be at the Wilkerson's in thirty minutes! Why is this happening to me today. I pull over at a gas station and pop the hood. Nothing is smoking, my tires aren't flat and I have a full tank of gas, so I don't what's going on. I closed the hood and get back in my car. Guess what... it starts right up!

I put it in drive and haul ass. I am not going to be late for this sitter's job interview. I'm really hoping they like me enough to let me start like tonight or tomorrow, but if not, I guess I'll just look for something else. I'm really great with kids, that they will see.

I pull up to the address provided, I look down the long driveway and gasp. It's absolutely beautiful! It's full of rose bushes, trees and just of sorts of lovely flowers. I roll down my window so I can smell them, it smells delightful. Sweet, delicious and just gorgeous. The drive way is lined with solar lights that look like little flowers, which fits perfect with the rest of the yard. When I get in view of the house I almost wreck, it's three stories high, painted blue color with rose outlines on the windows and door frames. It's amazing. Just freaking absolutely gorgeous. There's evening a tire swing hung from a tree in the front yard. The front porch has four rocking chairs on it, they are also painted blue and lined with the rose color.

I step out of my car and make my way to the front door. I press the door bell, even the sound of the doorbell is pleasant. I step back and wait. The door opens and two small kids run and jump into my arms.

I hope you all enjoy :) I know it's kind of a boring start, but either we like it or we don't lol Right? Comment Vote and Share with friends ;P
