Chapter Five: The Journey begins.
The Next Day....
Zor woke up, and got changed. He remembered what had happened the
night before. He remembered that he was to go on a journey across
Bourner, to collect the seven fire guardians. He remembered telling his
parents about what he must do. His mother said she would not allow it.
But His father agreed with Zor and said that it was now Zor's responsibility to
protect Bourner. He waked into the kitchen where all his
brothers and sisters were waiting for him to wake up.
They all seemed to be very sad. "So Mum and Dad
told you what's happening then?" asked Zor. All his siblings nodded. His twin
sisters, Jessica and Jamie came up and hugged him. "We don't want you
to leave" Said Jamie. "I'm sorry I called you big nose" Said Jessica.
"Hey" Said Zor, kneeling down to them. "It will be alright. I promise".
One of his brothers came towards him and gave him a big box. "Whats this
Sam?" asked Zor "Its you're stay safe gift" said Sam. "My Stay safe gift?"
said Zor, looking a bit confused. "Its from all of us" Said Vin.
Zor opened it. "A sword" Said Zor. "And a new quiver? And an amulet"
"The sword is for you're attack" Said Sam. "The quiver is for you're defence"
Said Vin. "And the amulet is for you're protection" Said Bella.
"Thank you all so much!" Said Zor, bringing a tear to his eye. "I promise,
that I will return as soon as I can". They all came in and hugged.
"I hate to break up this beautiful moment but, Zor we really need to go".
Zor looked around and then stood up. "Hi James" Said Zor. James was standing
in Zor's door way. "Are you ready Zor?" asked James. "Almost, James" Said Zor.
"Where's Mum and Dad?" "Out the back" Said Jamie. "Thanks" Said Zor.
So as Jamie had said, Zor walked into the backyard and there he found his
parents. "Zor" Said Susan. Her shirt, stained with tears. "That amulet the
kids gave you, is not a normal amulet". "How so?" Asked Zor. "It's enchanted
with a powerful magic" Said Susan. "This magic will protect you anytime you
are in serious danger". "So if I use this pendant, I will be protected?"
Asked Zor. "Yes" Said Susan. Peter stepped forward. "Zor, it is time for
you to take the responsibility of protecting Bourner" Said Peter "I may
have protected Bourner for decades, but its now time for me to step down".
"I'll make you proud Dad" Said Zor. "I'll make you all proud". "We know you
Will" Said Susan. And so Zor and James left the safety of their homes and
set out on a journey across bourner. Their first journey is to the Labyrinth
