Remy

"You like him!" I repeated with the biggest smile on my face. "No I don't, where would you get that idea from honestly Remy you need to start going to sleep on time or in general."

I mentally object the idea of getting the proper amount of sleep while putting my hands up defensively and I avert my eyes the other way." What ever you say ~lover boy~." I say the last part slowly making sure he hears me.

Virgil's face turns a slight red after that which makes him stumble on his words a little so I cut him off before he has a chance to form a proper sentence.

" If you didn't like him." I say giving him my full attention. " Then you would've just ignored him and been irritated for the rest of the day, but no you instead stood here and explained to me every single detail." I state with a matter of fact tone.

Virgil visibly cringed at  his actions. "Well don't sound so confident." He hissed through his teeth. He looks at me and I look back at him, we stare at each other silence washing over us.

'I won the argument...Don't see that everyday.'

Ring...Ring...Ring.

I grab my phone seeing the numbers ID. 'Unknown' in bold letters I look at Virgil a slight smirk played on his lips I look back down at my phone and press answer.

Immediately loud noises from the other side of the phone erupt through my phones speakers. I flinch from the loud noises and pull the devices back from my face. Soon after I'm able to hear a familiar voice. And quickly hang up.

Ring...Ring...Ring

The phone rings again. I ignore it. I look up Virgil smirk as wide as ever. "What did you do." He looks at me innocently. "Who me." He says pointing a finger at his chest. "Yes you." I respond growing irritated.
"Well." He started dragging out the 'l' sound.

"I may have given him your number."
I freeze for a minute. ' He has my number...Declyn has MY number.' For some reason I feel a little sick.

The ring of my phone brings me out of my thoughts. I quickly continue with my statement.

"Why." I yell . " Because.." He stops talking. " Hey he's not hat bad and beside I think he likes you." I stutter looking for an excuse and also a reason to leave."Not that bad Virgil he's a total player and why would he like me."

Virgil smiles at me with a hopeful look on his face." Doesn't matter look have to go!" I say as I rush out of his dorm. When I reach the outside I feel the cold air cool my cheeks as I try to calm myself down.

My footsteps come to a stop. "I have to go". I recount my previous statement. 'Was that the best excuse I could give.' I criticize myself. I think out loud. "Do I like Declyn, better question why me?" A question I never could've imagined asking myself. I stand still. My feet feel like they have turned into stone or they've rooted into the ground below me as well as the rest of my body. I stand there for a few minutes before coming to the resolution that maybe, just maybe I don't hate the idea of liking De-"Remy!" A loud cheerful voice that could only be Patton's calls out to me.

We walk around campus as if to distract me from my previous thoughts that had just been haunting my mind. After a while of walking around we find a small but comfy bench and sit on it. He tells me about his day and in return I share mine; minus the details involving my conversation with Virgil that occurred a few minutes ago. After that we sat and looked at whatever was around us first the stars then the tall buildings then the grass.
