Two weeks into college and Virgil's life is already upside down his papers due dates are creeping up on him and he has to manage his friends unshared issues and his own. Tiredly he stalks around campus before eventually finding his classroom and plopping down in his seat.
Whatever Roman has decided to rant about today was light chatter in Virgil's ears. Now of course we're there's a good job there's a person who has to ruin it, more specifically Avery Johnson the so called teachers pet but we have another name for people like her.
"Mr. Prince," The sound of talking was interrupted by a whiny voice. "Yes Johnson?" Roman asked unconcerned about whatever would come out of her mouth. "Virgil's sleeping, again." Avery tattled on the unconscious other. Roman raises an eyebrow in disbelief. "Let him." He shuts down the conversation and gets back to teaching.
"But he's going to miss something." Roman closes his eyes in frustration . "Then wake him up, since you care enough about him." Roman turns back to his lesson plan but doesn't miss the slight, "I don't care about him." That leaves the mouth of Avery.
Two weeks of college and Romans life was already upside down. Not even a full month and he'd been lectured about his teaching style, teased by his friend about his supposed crush, and learned that a few of his students, girls and boys alike, were going to be difficult to deal with.
After a very long first period due to unwanted conversation with a student that will remain unnamed he could finally breath but it's not like it would last long. His break would only last for a little over an hour so he might as well make the most of it. Roman walks over to the desk that was still occupied by Virgil he examines his face.
The slight crevices by his nose the wrinkles on his forehead that were pretty much unnoticeable unless you were looking for them. He also couldn't help but notice the light freckles that showed from underneath the coat of makeup that covered the younger s' cheek. Roman made his way back to his desk before grabbing the notes from his own desk and dropping them on Virgil's which awakened him.
Virgil's tired eyes stared up at Roman. "Huh What?" Roman smiled at this version of Virgil. Although he'd only known him for two weeks he had really only seen him mad, happy and, and wasted and the last two will probably never happen again. But this time Virgil was, cute. The slight darkness and how his squinted eyes and the way his lips pursed together.
It was new. "Copy these and go to your next class." Virgil nodded before getting to work. Roman walks back to his desk as Virgil continues writing. It's silent for a few minutes around
ten-ish minutes. The awkward silence that neither wants to break seems to linger as Virgil walks the notes up to Roman desk, as Thanks he nods his head before walking to the door.Just before he leaves the room. "Hey Roman, thank you, I don't know what would've happened to me if you weren't there." Roman looks at Virgil in shock, not expecting a Thanks. "You're welcome, what kind of teacher would I be if I left you alone while drunk?" Roman asks and Virgil chuckles with a raspy voice before leaving.
Now Romans break can begin.
The loud creak of the door alerts all of Virgils classmates. "Do you have a reason for being late?" His Geometry teacher ask. " Yeah I, Mr. Prince needed me to help him with something." His teacher looked at him a suspicious look on his face before he shrugs. Now in this class he also happened to sit next to our friend from earlier Avery and to fulfill her roll as 'teacher pet' she raises her hand. "Mr. Smith Virgil is lying to you."
Virgil puts his head down. "He was asleep all last period there's no way he was helping Mr. Prince with something I think he was trying to skip." Virgil sighs. "Dude shut up okay. All you do is talk and tell on somebody and since you have to know what I was doing, I was copying notes okay. Now that you know what I was doing are you satisfied thank you very much." Everyone looks shocked. This is he first time they heard him angry and for some of them it was he first time they heard him talk.
Two weeks into college and Virgil and Roman are both done.

Despite how ironic it may sound the one who was normally calm and collected is now panicking due to the fact that it's been over twelve hours and he's yet to hear from his project partner. Yet he's coping by pacing back and forth very fast and biting his nails to the skin.
Honestly Patton couldn't tell you why he was panicking but he knew he was. His heartbeat was accelerating at preposterous ideas of death or harm coming Logan's way. Even though he's only known him for a few weeks he knows that Logan always took precautionary measures so he wouldn't get hurt but god. Anything could happen.
Patton sits in class his next class he luckily had with Logan. He felt a bit of relief when he realized this but he could never fully calm his nerves.
*Time Skip*
Patton practically runs to his next class hoping to see his favorite nerd and he does. "Oh thank god!" Patton exclaims in relief. "I thought something happened to you." Logan looked at Patton an eyebrow raised. "You do realize that after you left I stayed in my dorm right. And never left?" At this Patton looks to his left and mumbles a "maybe."
Logan laughs a little at this. "You don't have to be worried about me if you should be worried about anyone it's you." Logan could notice Patton's face shift to a smile too. Good, he thought. After all as long as Patton was happy he was.
