Percy’s P.O.V

As the army’s laughs echo through the Arena, along with my own, realization comes over me. We just did that.

“Percy?” Annabeth asks.

We all stop laughing and look at the campers. One of the Aphrodite campers was unconscious, laying in an Apollo camper’s arms.

“Yes.” I say casually.

“Now if you will excuse us, we have other things to do and other places to be in.” Luke says before silently leading all of us out of the Arena and into our cabin.

“We are crazy.” Pollux announces once we are safely inside.

“Indeed we are.” Lee agrees before throwing himself on one of the bottom bunks.

I just stood there, staring at nothing. No matter how funny and entertaining that was, I still don’t want any of the campers to know who I am. They betrayed me, they are the reason that they are in this mess. And no matter how much training Lord Chaos gives us, trying to convince us that hatred leads no where, I know we all still hate them. They are the ones that got us dead, and even though Bianca is the only daughter of Hades here we all can hold a grudge pretty well.

“Percy, what’s wrong?” Zoe asks me, placing a hand on my shoulder leading me to one of the bunks.

“Nothing. How are your injuries?” I ask her.

“They are fine. Now tell us what’s on your mind.” Luke answers for her, his voice holds curiosity but his eyes show worry.

“It’s just that.” I hesitate before continuing, “For as long as I can remember all I ever wanted to do was the right thing. I’m just not sure what that is anymore.” I tell them.

“The right thing is what your heart tells you to do.” Zoe says, giving my hand a reassuring squeeze.

“My heart tells me to go back to Planet Chaos and never look back.” I tell them softly. They all smile at me, and I could tell they wanted to go back home too. “

“But...” Beckendorf asks.

But I know we can’t, so we just have to suck it up I guess.” I tell them.

“Exactly, look at the bright side.” Luke said which gained a questioning stare from all of us.

“Like what?” Selena finally asks, breaking the silence that had been formed inside our cabin.

“Like how one of the Daughters of Aphrodite fainted.” He said laughing which in return made us all let out a small laugh, “ My point is, Percy, that it will get better.” Luke says looking at me.

“Can’t get much worst.” I tell him which makes him glare at me.

I shrug my shoulder innocently, it’s not like I was the only one thinking it.

“It could, actually, get worst.” Lee says, once again joining our conversation.

“How so?” Zoe asks.

“Well Gaea could attack us now, the camp won’t be prepared.” He tells us.

“Oh no, Gaea just attack, the camp got destroyed. We can go home now. How ever shall we survive.” Pollux says sarcastically.

“Come on, guys!” Luke exclaims standing up while Bianca tries to calm him down, “We can’t just stay here moping around while a war is about to starts. We have to be the bigger demigods and do the responsible thing; stay and fight with them. So we just have to hold on until this is all over.” He finishes and sits back down on the bed letting out an exhausted sigh.

“Maybe you are right.” Lee says.

“Yeah, I guess we can hold on until the war ends.” Zoe says.

“We can do that.” I say.

“Hopefully.” Zoe muttered under her breath. I knew she didn’t mean for me to hear it so instead of bringing it up in front of everyone I just gave her a side hug which made her smile in return.

“When do you guys think we should go back out there?” Selena asks, referring to the camp.

“When’s dinner time again?” Pollux replies in the form of a question which makes us all chuckle.

“Seriously you guys, when do we go out there?” Luke asks.

“When it’s time for dinner.” I reply simply.

“We also have to tell Lord Chaos about us revealing our identities early.” Beckenford pipes up.

“We can do that later.” Bianca says.

“So we go out there when it’s time for dinner?” Lee asks.

“Yeah. And remember that we don’t have to wear our hoods.” Luke reminds us.

“Good. It gets hot inside those things.” Selena jokes.

“It does doesn’t it.” I agree with her.

And with that everyone in the room laughs.

Annabth’s P.O.V

It’s been thirty minutes since they revealed their identities and me and the gang were all hanging out in Jason’s cabin.

“I still can’t believe it.” Grover says.

“I know. And to think all this time he was with Lord Chaos.” Piper says.

“At least he’s safe.” I say, trying to lighten the mood.

“Yeah. But he isn’t one of us anymore.” Jason says, his voice sorrow.

“He is always going to be one of us.” Frank defended. His may be holding confidence, but his eyes were a different story. They gave away the truth; he didn’t believe himself.

“No he’s not.” I say in a sad voice as a tear streams down my face, “He is one of them now, never going to come back to us. Not after everything we did.” I tell them. My voice no longer holds sadness, instead anger has replaced it.

“You mean after everything you did.” Reyna says coldly.

“Excuse me.” I say, even though I know it’s true.

“If it wasn’t for everything that you Greeks did Percy would still be one of us. We wouldn’t be in this situation. And we wouldn’t need the help of the Army of Chaos.” She says.

“We got turned against him it happens.” Grover defends.

“To you. It happens to you.” Frank says.

“We would have never done anything like this. Ever.” Hazel says, but she doesn’t sound like herself. The Hazel I knew would never say something like this, she is always so calm and collected.

“You are right it was our fault.” I say, “But that doesn’t mean we don’t regret it every second of every day.”

“We know.” Reyna says softly. “I’m sorry I snapped. It’s just hard to know that Percy is in the same camp as us and he won’t even to to us.”

“Yeah we’re sorry.” Hazel says and Frank nods in agreement.

“It’s okay it was our fault. But I’m going to do the right thing. I’m going to fix this, no matter the cost.” I say.
